This was located across from our hotel so we decided to try it. The night before we had walked around and was disappointed at how expensive the restaurants were. This place was so reasonable in comparison. I had pumpkin soup, absolutely delicious, and a half sandwich with turkey, cranberries and pesto on focaccia bread. Very good. My husband got a hamburger and it was one of the best he has had. It was slow, so the waitress visited with us for a bit. Would definitely eat there again, and sure wished we had last night.

The place was walking distance from our hotel and it looked good from the outside and decided to give it a try. Nice atmosphere. Lots of locals. You place your order at the counter, get a number for your table and they bring the food out to you. You bus your own dishes afterwards. The food we got was wholesome, tasty, and fairly good portions size. You could tell the soup and/or chili was made from scratch. Lots of choices, but they do run out of certain items throughout the day. Great place for good food in Jackson, but like everything else in Jackson the prices are a bit steep. However, the food is good here.

Nice looking place inside. Came in for dinner. Lots of locals. They were out of French fries and onion rings at 6 pm. Big bummer. But, the sandwich I got was scrumptious and filled me up.

We went to this restaurant tonight in Jackson. It was recommended to us by our Bed and Breakfast host. There were four of us. We ordered beef stew and turkey chili. We waited 20 minutes at our table for our food and couldn't imagine why it would take so long. We finally sent my husband to investigate what the holdup in the kitchen was. These soups required little more than dishing up. He discovered that our order had been lost. Things like that can happen. Two of us have been waitresses and we should be more understanding. The turkey chili was better than the beef stew.
