while in Jackson hole we did a whole day teton plus a whole day yellowstone tour and greatly enjoyed both days. could not have asked for more. both times, the guides were super-friendly and accommodating and very knowledgable. food is provided as well as binoculars for each member of the group. was a very worthwhile experience and we have no regrets.

This tour SO exceeded my expectations! I have been coming to JH for about 10 years, and during this visit, I had 4 friends from Philadelphia join us. This was there first time to the area, and I thought the tour would be a nice "kick off" to the trip. Our guide, Chris, was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable of the area, of the wildlife, and showed a real passion for the natural eco-system of the Grand Tetons. We did an evening tour, and saw lots of wildlife. In fact, the 4 hours seemed to just whiz by! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who may be on their first trip to the Grand Tetons, or for anyone who wants to gain a greater understanding and love of the area.

We could not have been happier on our first night in the Tetons with Taylor as our guide. The beautiful scenery is enough to bring you to Wyoming, but the wildlife is why we came. Taylor definitely came through for us. He not only knew where to look for wildlife, he was also very knowledgeable about the area and its history. We were thoroughly educated about the geographic area and wildlife and their habitats. There wasn't a question we could ask that he didn't know the answer. We saw an osprey with its young, a red fox, too many bison, elk, and prong horn deer to count, 4 moose, 2 beavers and tried our hardest to find a bear, but unfortunately to no avail. He also educated us on badgers and how they dig their hole, which we were able to use in Yellowstone to spot on our own.

Taylor also had high powered binoculars and a scope that enhanced the viewing in addition to hatches that opened up on top the vehicle. He also had delicious snacks and gave us a souvenir water bottle. By far one of the best excursions we have taken and I would recommend to everyone.

We took the 8 hour tour of the Grand Tetons with Taylor as our guide. His knowledge of the flora, fauna, geology and history of the area was amazing. He could name every flower, knew where all the animals could be found and regaled us with stories about the animals and the area throughout the trip. The vehicle had large hatches on the roof which allowed for standing up and taking pictures of animals such as bears and buffalos up close. We saw moose, elk, pronghorn antelope, a bald eagle, osprey, two grizzly bears, muskrat, pelicans, bison and a coyote. The trip started early and at the second stop Taylor made fresh pressed hot coffee and supplied homemade blueberry muffins to enjoy while looking at some of the most magnificent scenery in the U.S. For lunch we were treated to a delicious meal at a restaurant overlooking a clear mountain lake with the Tetons reflected on the water. In the end we came home with lots of new knowledge and appreciation of the area and lots of great pictures (Taylor knew just where to stop for the best pictures). All in all it was a perfect day.

I don't think words are adequate to describe this tour. It is one of those "you have to be there" experiences. Taylor was a splendid guide, so thoughtful and concerned with our comfort and experiences. He was a fount of information which he shared in an enthusiastic manner! We learned things that other guides had not shared. He had great "show and tell" exhibits of antlers, horns, fur, and bear claws. He played a recording of a bugling moose!

I was most impressed with the comfortable custom van with cup holders, nice seats, and great suspension on rough roads. It had roof hatches that opened so tourists could safely stand up and view wildlife "up close and personal"! At one point, we were in the middle of a heard of bison that were crossing the road. They were so close you could smell them.

We saw lots of wildlife: Sand-hill Cranes, Mt. Blue Bird, ground squirrels, long billed curlew; bison, pronghorns, elks, and moose. The most exciting highlight was when we stopped at a visitor center for a pottie break. There was a moose cow and her calf about a 150 feet away! Taylor was most concerned for our safety. He let us look and photograph until they came closer, and we backed off close to the van.

The amenities were also delightful. Taylor had drinks, water, and delicious snacks for us. The company supports and buys from local companies. We shared some tasty bison jerky. I had a locally baked fresh granola bar. My husband had some trail mix. Taylor also had nice binoculars for everyone!

I was impressed that Eco Tours gives part of their guide fees to charitable organizations to help the wildlife.

This is truly an experience not to be missed! Eco Tours offer a number of different tour experiences. Some are even multi-day with overnight hotel stays. I wish we had time to try them all.
