“Another Great Aman Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

We celebrated my sister's significant birthday at Amangani Grill. The staff was very accommodating in preparing a special dessert and making this a celebratory occasion. We were made to feel most welcome and were encouraged to take our predinner drinks out on the terrace to enjoy the view. The restaurant itself was cozy and while not busy, the patrons were seated so as not to intrude on one another.

The food was good, not the best we've had at an Aman resort, but good in comparison with what we had at the Granary next door the following night. What made this a 5 star review is the service and ambiance. The wait staff were courteous and attentive without being obtrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Would we go back? To celebrate a special occasion, without a doubt.

“great view, very good food, poor service, bad atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

For dinner at the Amangani I wasn't expecting a room full of diners with baseball hats on backwards and kids running around. That said, the view is beautiful so ask for a table by the window. The food was very good, both the elk and the game pasta were delicious and better than expected. Waiter was a little confused. If they took this a little more upscale it would be very nice. Felt like I paid extra for being at the Amangani and got a bit of Bubba's.

“Turned Away - Under New Management?”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2014

We drove to the elegant Amangani Hotel to enjoy a drink at the bar, the Teton Mountain Views and a Jackson Hole sunset. Unfortunately, we were told by the valet and hotel "greeter" that "without a reservation, we cannot let you in. We are full." Even though we informed the hotel staff that we had stayed at the Amangani before and had stopped by for drinks on several occasions, we were prohibited from entering the hotel. This kind of inhospitable treatment is totally out of sync with the mission of the Aman hotel chain which prides itself on high levels of service and hospitality. I usually try to focus on the positive aspects of my travels (see my other reviews) but this shabby treatment merited a review, especially as I have stayed at and patronized this hotel in the past. Perhaps there is a new management ethos at the Amangani. Who knows. But I will not be visiting any time soon to find out if improvements have been made.

“Library Bar, the sunset, "The Grand"--a winning trifecta!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2014

For a relatively inexpensive, but fabulous view of sunset behind The Grand, stop at the Amangani and relax with your artfully prepared Martini in the library bar. There you sit, high atop the hills that are home to the Amangani and Spring Creek Ranch. It's on the road that joins Jackson to Wilson. (You might, as I did a couple of years ago, find myself trapped on the road as the wranglers move the herd from one side of the road to the other). If you are lucky, Tony will be your server and bartender. He is extremely cordial and informative as he spends most of his non-server time accumulating information about all there is to do in the wonderful town of Jackson. I would skip having dinner in The Grill if you want to continue to enjoy that sense of well-being and serenity that the Library Bar and its surrounds.imparts to you. (Remember that this is only a review of the Library Bar.) You will love the Bar.. You will also love the tasty Native American Indian memorabilia scattered throughout. There is a spiritual feeling here that is so different from being down on the flatlands with the rest of the tourists.. .

“Get ready for a great meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014 via mobile

Great place with impeccable service. Superb menu and wine list. Expensive, so reserve for a special meal, but everything was done very well. Nice live music to make the mood meet the view.
