Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

We traveled from Ohio by car and stayed nine days in various hotels and we liked this one the best and stayed 3 nights. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was very good. Our room was great with a fireplace and was spacious. My wife would have liked a balcony or some way of sitting outside in the evening which was no fault of the Inn we knew that when we booked the room. They do have two park benches in front of the building but when occupied by smokers you may not want to sit there. Otherwise I would stay here again and recommend is to my friends.

We loved this hotel. The decor is beautifully done with high end finishes, but the prices are reasonable. The decor throughout reflects the flavor or the area. It is in a quiet location only a mile from the town square. The only drawback was that it doesn't have a pool.

Our quiet location about a mile from the Town Square allows our guest to be close to the down town and yet just far enough away to enjoy a nice quiet visit with us. The complimentary Jackson Town shuttle is located just a few steps away from us and the is a convenice our guests really appreciate.

The two-story lobby of this hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We arrived on the 4th of July and they gave us a map and directions to reach the local fireworks show at the base of Snow King Mountain. Our room was on the 2nd floor and while it didn't have a great view, we weren't there to look out the window. Yes, a pool would have been nice, but there are so many things to do in Jackson Hole, we didn't spend much time at the hotel anyway. That said, the room was elegantly furnished and very clean. As parents traveling with two teenage girls, we appreciated having two vanities, one just outside and one inside the private bath with Toto toilet and large glass shower. Probably not great for small kids needing a bath tub, although they may have rooms with tubs available, I don't know. The Keurig coffee maker was a nice convenient touch. We briefly visited the exercise room downstairs and found it more than adequate with everything we needed for a good workout. Since we had been on the road traveling for several days, I was pleasantly surprised to find an immaculate laundry room down the hall from our room, complete with new front loading washer and dryer and detergent and dryer sheets set out for guest use, all free of charge. We really liked the location of this hotel a few blocks off the main part of downtown Jackson. Our river rafting company picked us up at the hotel and we walked across the street to dinner the first night of our stay.

Other than the lack of pool and the lack of light, this hotel has it going on! It was clean, very comfortable, and beautiful. We enjoyed our time, but it is NOT in the downtown area. It is a bit on the pricey side, but from what we saw of Jackson, it was one of the nicer locations. The downtown core is a bit to motel-ish for us. The walk from the hotel is entirely possible, we did it just fine, but it is along a busy highway. We are walk everywhere kind of folks, and this was just a bit to loud for enjoyment. Fitness center had good machinery and was empty. So we hopped on the free START bus right by the hotel on day two, and this made it much more enjoyable. Staff was helpful, courteous and we called ahead on our drive into town to check the pricing and got a $60 off room from our internet booking! Just a pleasant and enjoyable, clean and updated rustic Wyoming feel. We recommend if you don't mind off the downtown path.

Room Tip: We liked our room close to the elevator, which had a computer station and sitting area right outside...

It's quite clear this property recently went through a renovation, and they did a spectacular job. The decor is prefect. Quality is great, from the mattresses to countertop and carpet. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Beds were great and the sheets were clean and crisp. The staff pays attention to the details.

The location is prefect, just a brief walk or drive into town so you can avoid the crowds. I found two small, but important areas for the management firm to work on. The property needs a pool. Such a beautiful facility with no pool is an embarrassment. The other is the shower. Such a beautiful shower that needs more water pressure and a small seat/bench for those who need one.

First, one has to get over the sticker-shock of staying ANYWHERE in Jackson during July. When the Super-8 hotel (with mediocre reviews) is $210+taxes and fees, you have to just add about $100 to whatever you're used to. We decided to pay $50 more and stay somewhere nice, and the Wyoming Inn was VERY nice. We had a king-sized bed plus pull out sofa bed for our daughter, and the room even had a gas fireplace. The staff was extremely helpful, and when it was pouring rain on our departure day they were fine with giving us a late check-out. The rooms are nicely furnished.

We had booked a king size bedroom with a fireplace room with the specific note to hold the room for our late arrival as we were coming down from Yellowstone National Park area(Cody-Red Lodge-Cooke City-Jackson).

When we arrived there after past 10:45pm, there was nobody at the front desk. We needed help to unload our luggage in the car, just temporarily parking our ride outside the entrance door. But, there was no buzz or a phone at the lobby/front desk area to call for their attention. Nobody was around.

After 12-14 minutes later, Zach, a night staff, showed up. Without greeting, pretending as if he was there all the time.
When I suggested a type of "away, will be back momentarily" sign on the desk could be nice for a late check-in guest if the hotel is short-staffed at night. He talked back saying he was only gone for 3-4 minutes to fix the TV remote control at Room 3xx, and, again to supply extra pillow to a guest, and, that the hotel has another staff at night but he went home early to watch the Independence Firework, and, he complained that he was waiting for us already for over 1.5 hours.

When I mentioned to him that that was totally inappropriate to talk unprofessional things to the guests. He talked back again, and, now he crossed his arm.

Another staff, Adrian, a night audit supervisor, showed up right after 11pm. After brief argument of whether crossing arms to the hotel guests would be appropriate or not with Adrian who differed from my opinion, and, who couldn't stop himself crossing his arms just like Zach did earlier, he soon apologized repeatedly to us on behalf of Zach as he identified the way Zach talked to us was seriously a problem.

There were more minor problems still, but this incident was clearly problem to us and I couldn't get to sleep getting too upset.

The next morning was a different story. Mike Solis, the general manager, instantly warmed up to us and sincerely apologized to us about the incident Adrian had reported already. We reminded him of spending our time to address the issues, especially staff training, and not leaving an intern alone to handle the night should be avoided for the guests' sake. Mr. Solis took every word very seriously and assured that this would not match their already upscale standard they have put and apolized to us repeatedly.

After the long day trip, the hotel staff left a box of chocolate, 2 vouchers for breakfast, Wine, and a cheering card from the desk staff in our room. The care they showed afterward deeply touched us, but, we didn't have time to enjoy any of their gifts, but, our heart was full with their assuring hospitality.

I just wished that we did not have to deal with that inexperienced night staff. Then it would have been a true 5-star experience. And, we would have explored their facilities to the full. We thank the manager and the other staff who all stepped up to make us feel better later on.
______________

Cons:

- Dark Room ambience-No ceiling light to brighten the room in sitting area other than the desk area, that is only good for one person.
- Again, poorly lit Hotel Signage, off W Broadway, It was hard to find the hotel location at night.
- The location of the hotel might make some guests feel compromised, especially with this upscale décor, surrounded by typical mall features. But, for the guests traveling to Teton Village and Grand Teton Park from the South access, this is a better location.
- Mediocre view of parking lot, just like any typical inn, with ample parking space. Understandable
-No Bellboy service! Carry your own luggage to your room. Two carts available, with an elevator access.

Pros:

- New Decors, Immaculate! They didn't spend any money for a cheap quality. Great selection of Mattress, Sofa, Carpet, Window Coverings, Countertop, toilet features.
- The sliding closet door was squeaky, but it was fixed in the same day.
- Friendly Staff during the day, even the room keepers say Good morning with big smiles. On the contrary, Jackson locals don't smile even in the service business and quite stiff to deal with compared to my neighbors in MA.
- Hard Working manager. Obviously you can see his hard works on TA.
- Room rate seems to be very high for this type of town settings at first, but, accepting that the hotel rooms are all overpriced in Jackson and Teton Village, and, after identifying them in each location during our stay, this place is actually priced adequately, and I can see easily this being the No 1 choice of our stay again if we return to Jackson.

Room Tip: close to #22-Teton pass Highway, the lobby is the double height. 2nd floor rooms close to the lobby...
