We took the full day tour from Jackson, cutting through Grand Teton and experiencing the highlights of Yellowstone lower loop. Our guide, Trevor, was very knowledgeable and personable. We were lucky to be the only people on the tour, as it was a weekday in mid-October. As a result, it was essentially a private tour, and Trevor catered to our need to see as much as possible. We are travel bloggers (JourneysWithStephen.com) and desired to learn a lot and take zillions of photos. Mission accomplished. The vehicle was very comfortable, and I even used the safari top opening to take up close photos of wildlife (bison, elk) without disturbing them or dealing with shooting through windows. I highly recommend taking this tour as a first-time visitor. You will learn a great deal, while someone else does the driving over the course of a long, but satisfying day.

My wife and I had an incredible time with our guide Kevin for the half day Wildlife tour. Kevin was incredibly knowledgeable about every single topic we discussed. We got to see tons of moose, bison, elk, and other mammals, oftentimes upclose (within a safe distance). I’d HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone!

My wife and I just completed a full day tour with one of your wonerful guides, Trevor LaClair. It was a splendid day and Trevor was very informative, funny and engaging. His breadth of knowledge was impressive and his love for his work was remarkable to see. What a joy it was to spend a full day with Trevor and even have some terrific non tour conversation over an excellent lunch on the deck at Dornans. TSS is lucky to have such a passionate employee and Trevor made this one of the best days we have had here in Jackson. Great guide, great tour, highly recommended!! Bob and Lori✌️

Took the Sunrise small group tour. Dylan was an outstanding guide - extremely knowledgeable, interesting and committed - and now we are all enthusiasts for the area, its wildlife and the work of this wonderful non-profit. We were very fortunate to see a (very hungry) berry-eating bear at close quarters, several moose, elk, pronghorns, bison and more. Dylan gave us lots of background on the animals themselves, and the ecosystem. One of the best parts of our trip - thank you.

We couldn’t be more impressed with TTS and our guide Sarah Ernst. We felt special from the moment we met the tour group; efforts were made to connect everyone in the group and create an open and flexible environment for sharing and learning. We were especially amazed at Sarah’s ability to intuitively pick the “right” location to see the animals; she has a second sense about this. Maybe it was part luck, but “the harder I work, the luckier I get”!

The obvious highlights were: great, abundant food choices; appropriate and timely departures; constant concern for our comfort (it was snowy some days), and a knowledgeable and caring guide. The safari style vans were super comfortable and the roof hatches made viewing, even at close range, easy.

BTW Sarah followed through on every promise to share videos, photos and info. She really walks-the-talk.

Any negatives would be super minor, but here are a few tips for potential guests.

1. Know that you will be viewing the larger carnivores through shared spotting scopes. This is not a zoo, it is a wild untamed American West landscape. On the other hand, bison will walk right up to the van! Pronghorn will also be nearby much of the time.

2. At popular spots there will be a lot of other people watching as well, but generally they are as entranced as you will be. It isn’t a serious problem. You may be walking a short distance on rocky or muddy ground.

3. The days can be long! Wildlife is active at dawn and dusk, so many times you’ll be up before dawn and not return until after dark. You eat picnic style out of the van. It is all part of the experience, go with it. (PS: your guide will get less sleep than you!)

And finally, this can be a hit or miss experience (looking for wild animals), so don’t measure your experience with a checklist, but allow yourself to be deeply connected with one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Thank you, Sarah Ernst, you are a real professional. TSS: great job!

Our sunrise tour was the true highlight of our trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Our guide Thyme was polite, fun, extremely knowledgable. She knew exactly where the animals could be found. Her enthusiasm for the experience served to increase our enthusiasm. We will return at some point, and will definitely request Thyme to be our guide.

If you are in the Jackson Hole area, and want to see some wildlife, this is the place to go. Thyme, our guide, was fantastic in every way, full of knowledge, knew just where to take us, and took care of us in every possible way. We saw 6 moose, 2 pronghorns, numerous bison, a few bald eagles, and more. Thyme, you ROCK!!!

We took a Sunday tour of Yellowstone National Park in early August. Our tour guide, Trevor, was excellent. It is a long day with pick-up around 6:00 am and drop-off around 6:00 pm. It is a jam packed day with a lot of driving so we were glad we didn’t have to do the driving and miss much of the scenery. Trevor was very knowledgeable about Yellowstone and the tour was full of facts and good stories. It is a beautiful area with lakes, streams, waterfalls, plenty of animals and even the Grand Canyon of Wyoming. Old Faithful and the lodge there were fascinating.I definitely would recommend the Teton Science School tours if you are planning a tour of Yellowstone.

My husband and 8 enjoyed a super great introduction to the wildlife of GTNP on our sunrise safari with Trevor! It was a beautiful, cold morning and animals were enjoying the start of the day as much as we were! Bison, pronghorns, moose, and osprey all delighted us! Trevor shared great stories about the Park and gave us really good tips about being bear-aware. He really knows his animals! A very educational and fun trip...the coffee, snacks, and water bottles were much appreciated. Thanks TSS and Trevor for an excellent experience!
