Description: The idea for The Kitchen came from a vision of a restaurant that would provide something different - a refined, yet casual establishment that would provide modern cuisine with a comforting twist. The cuisine at The Kitchen embraces various culinary techniques and ingredients including all natural meats, seasonal vegetables, and sustainable, fresh fish. The presentation is clean, simple and natural. The beautiful and elegant architecture of the building mirrors the concepts in the food. Purchased in June 2005, the old A-frame structured house was renovated to create a space with award-winning design and remarkable ambiance. The modern yet comforting theme led to the bamboo bar and tables, the luminescent eco-panel wave of light, and natural color scheme. An open kitchen design allows for greater connection with guests and offers a personalized experience. Enjoy a large outdoor deck during the long summer nights or sit by the warm fireplace in winter.

“Fun dishes and great service”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

Loved the off-season menu. Every dish was $11 and perfect for sharing. Seafood and meats were equally delish!

“Superb”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Cooking here is innovative and sophisticated; the ambience elegant yet casual. We dined on the porch, enjoying the passing scene. I particularly recommend the Pan Seared Red Deer with Shitakes and Sherried Cherries.

“Delicious at another level”
Reviewed October 27, 2012 via mobile

Defintely beyond our expectations. They were offering a fall tasting menu... We were 6 people ans we tried 15 different dishes including desserts. They were all super delicious, fresh and sofisticated. There was nothing we didn't like (and some folks were piky eaters). Highly recommend it.
