“Fun experience”

It was only $18 a person and was really cool to be pulled along a sled in the winter through the Elk Refuge. There were so many Elk to see and the tour guides were very friendly and informative! Worth the hour or so to visit!

“Incredible experience”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

This was highly encouraged by our hotel concierge and I am so glad that we did this. This was an amazing experience, and at only $18 a ticket you can not go wrong. I loved the opportunity to go out on the refuge in a horse drawn sleigh...there are blankets on the sleigh but be sure to dress warmly. I could not believe that we were taken literally right in the middle of the herds of elk...we were just a few feet away. We saw some coyote as well wandering about. Our guide was very informative and funny. The tour was about 45 minutes then you have a chance for photo pops with the sleigh and horses if you choose. It was a wonderful way to learn about the history of the refuge and the area.

“Elk and wildlife”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

Got to see Elk, bison and wolves in the park on this cold March morning. You can drive in on your own. Recommend going with guide so you have the high powered scopes to see the animals.

A fun, old-fashioned activity to do. Sleigh guide gives an informative and fun ride amongst countless elk...you can practically reach out and pet them!

“Amazing!”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

I still can't believe they have devised a way to get so close to these animals - both the shuttle driver and refuge guide were personable and informative. Really enjoyed the experience!
