Stayed at the Trapper before and after our trip in the Snow Lodge at Yellowstone. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with two queen beds. It was a short walk to downtown Jackson and the Elk Refuge. No need for a car. Bus stop to ski hills directly across street. The friendly staff could not do enough to make sure our stay was perfect. The free WiFi was great to work on my on line class. The room was spotless. The waffles at breakfast were just what we needed before taking off to play in the snow.

George was the best! ... We stayed at The Lexington at Jackson Hole - Trapper Inn and Suites at the first part of January 2010. What an amazing place. Very beautiful area of the country. The skiing was amazing. We got there right after a fresh storm and the powder was deep. We really liked the size and manageability to the ski resort. We could spend all day skiing and then travel just a short distance to the town where we could enjoy live entertainment and great food. Staying at the Lexington we were centrally located to all the restaurants and shopping. The breakfast at the hotel was a nice surprise, much more than we were expecting. Waffles, ham and cheese croissants, and biscuits and gravy. This hotel has a great location, very clean rooms, and most importantly a wonderful staff. (Especially George and someone named Franker.)

The occasion I had at this hotel was so unnerving, I had to make an account to write a review. In mid-September when my parents and I visited Jackson Hole we stayed 2 nights at the Trapper Inn. It was a bit over-priced for a room nothing less than your standard room, and the "indoor pool" they have is only four ft. deep and in a separate building in the middle of the grounds you must walk to, from outside. The nights we stayed it was fairly busy with maybe half the rooms filled in the back section of the hotel. After our second night, that morning, we were woken up by roofers. At 6:30 AM (mountain time zone). And they started on the back corner of the roofer, where we were staying. The hotel had given us no warning, and refunded 50$ of our 165$ a night stay. Plan ahead and ask if they plan on doing roof repairs during your stay.

I would like to apologize to the guest for the inconvenience experienced during their stay at our property.  The comfort and satisfaction of our guests is the number one priority at the Lexington at Jackson Hole - Trapper Inn & Suites and I feel this is evidenced by the many positive reviews posted on Trip Advisor by our guests.  Be assured that this isolated incident was researched and actions were taken to remedy the situation.  I would like to also state that at no time was construction conducted prior to 8:30am and this is confirmed with regards to when the guests first notified us of the disturbance.  As we strive to offer our guests the best value in Jackson we occasionally have maintenance work that has to be completed.  During these times we minimize the impact to guests by carefully choosing the time and dates of construction.   Our head of maintenance was present daily to supervise the construction crew and when a complaint was made work was suspended until later in the day.  The ownership and staff of the Lexington at Jackson Hole will continue their hard work and dedication so that our guests receive the best in value, service and accommodations in Jackson Hole.Frank LaneMarketing DirectorLexington at Jackson Hole – Trapper Inn & Suites

This hotel was priced well for the area and my parents loved it. The rooms were very clean, modern and well appointed. This is the best in town location only one block from the town square. We were able to park at the hotel and walk to all of the restaurants and shops. The room had a great view of the local ski hill "Snowking" which was lit up at night. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were high thread count and high quality.

George is the BEST!! Knows how to great a customer - friendly, courteous, genuinly concerned about our stay in Jackson Hole. Facility a little dated on the outside but our room was very nice - the most comfortable beds and bedding; dorm size refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot; loved the large vanity being outside the shower/tub area. Quiet. And the ham & cheese crossants were out of this world......yummy!!

We stayed here for one night after 10 days in yellowstone and the grand tetons. The original purpose was to be near the airport since we had an early flight. It turned out to be a lot fun. Jackson Hole is a great place to visit and the Trapper Inn and Suites is ideally located. Can't compare it to other hotels in town since it is the only one we stayed at. Nice hotel. Nice town.

The Trapper aka The Lexington is in a nice location on the north side on Jackson, very convenient to the airport but just a two short blocks from shops and the town square. You don't have to drive through town to get north to the airport and parks. It's a two story complex with several buildings that surround the central parking/courtyard area. There are green spaces interspersed between the parking spaces with trees and big comfy lawn furniture. These were very nice spaces to sit and enjoy the afternoon sun. There aren't really any views from most of the rooms, but that is true of most hotels in "downtown" Jackson. There are a combination of motel-style and hotel-style units. We were in motel style units with a king bed. As the hotel website says - these are basic rooms. But you still have access to the amenities, like the small pool and jacuzzi, and things like nicer toiletries and towels. It's a little bit of a mix of budget and upscale. One of our units had more attractive furniture than the other - perhaps they are still working to update the older rooms after the big construction project/remodel? There seemed to be a lot of furniture in the room - I actually think they could scale back a little to open up more space. There was the tv armoire with several drawers, a dresser with several drawers, a table with several chairs, a side chair, a bunch of lamps, bedside tables. There was also a closet space. The king bed was the one newer, more attractive looking piece of furniture (it matched what was in the other room) and it was very comfortable. There was a big sink area outside the bathroom. The mini fridge was under the counter. The complimentary toiletries were very nice quality. The bathroom with the shower/tub and toilet was fine except that the shower head seemed oddly low and I am short. But the water pressure and temperature seemed fine and the towels were nice. I agree with another poster that sheers on the windows would be nice to allow light into the room but maintain privacy. The room did seem a little dark, especially as we were on the first floor and the walkway for the second floor hung over our door and window. The staff at the Trapper were very friendly and helpful. The lobby and breakfast areas are very nice and comfortable. The complimentary continental breakfast was OK. A pretty varied selection of breads and pastries - including a ham and cheese croissant that others in my group enjoyed. A selection of four cold cereals, whole fruit, and I think instant oatmeal as well. There was coffee, tea, a juice machine, microwave, and a toaster. I think there were real plates and utensils, not disposable, which is nice. There is a laundry room with two coin-operated, stacked washer/dryer units. I think it was $1.50 for a washer and $1.25 for the dryer (or maybe it was $1.75 and $1.50?). If I was back in Jackson, I might stay in one of newer, hotel-style units, as those look very nice, and they aren't that much more expensive. Overall, it was a good-sized room, clean, and location was very convenient.
