“Our stay here was OK.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2011

We spent two nights here in mid-August. This hotel would not have been our choice for lodging in Jackson but by the time I realized I forgot to make a reservation for the last two nights of our Montana-Wyoming trip, the rooms available in town were limited and expensive, so we ended up paying $179 night for a room at the Super 8.
Our stay here was fine. Check-in went well and the staff was friendly. The room, although a bit small, was clean and bright. The air conditioning worked well and the beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast area was rather small and had a very limited selection but it was OK.
On future trips to Jackson I will certainly look at other accomodations, but this hotel served our needs and I would stay here again if necessary

We came to Jackson Hole to visit family for the birth of a grandson. We have stayed in many hotels and motels around the world. Understanding that Super 8 is not the Four Seasons, it provided an excelent stay mainly due to the efficient and professional staff. We stayed in the same room for 12 nights. Our room was always cared for and cleaned daily with everything in its place every day.

Particularly rewarding was the efficient and excellent care given to the continental breakfast area. The tables were always cleaned and the serving areas well stocked throughout the morning. The yound girl (we're senior citizens) maintained the eating and serving area better than we have ever witnessed before in a similar motel visit. She should be given a raise and put into management training. The wi-fi worked well and there are two computers available in the lobby; both worked well. Hot coffee was available all day.

Knowing that we would be staying for 12 nights, the person checking us in changed our room to a first floor accommdation near one of the exits; it saved us time and effort moving in our over stuffed bags and gear. We had read that one can hear the guests on the second floor and it is true but not more annoying than it would be at home. Unless there is a party going on or rambunctious kids, we don't see this as a problem.

Our room appeared to have been recently renovated; it was clean and neat and the bathroom quite adequate. We would have preferred a firmer mattress but that's a personal thing.

Bottom line: A good visit at competitive rates and we would stay there again.

3 floors & no elevator. Old design. Worked for a quick stop - just needed a clean bed & shower...that's what we got, no more no less.

This hotel was just barely average. The cost was twice what it should have been and the room was very small and overlooked a storage unit. Wished we would have looked around more before checking in.

This place was not terrible, but probably doesn't deserve a 2 rating either. It was very worn down. Not noticably dirty, but it didn't feel clean either. Based on ratings we'd read on here and Expedia we expected a basic Super 8, and although we haven't stayed at one for quite a while, I would guess this was less than average.

We booked on Hotwire and chose 2 adults which prompts the hotel to only give one bed. Unfortunately we needed 2 beds and the hotel would not budge on giving us another room. They did give us 2 roll away beds that barely fit in the room. These were in as bad of condition as I can imagine.

Do NOT waste your time here. We paid almost $170 for this place and then moved to the Elk Refuge Inn on the north side of town for less money and had a nice, clean, not fancy, room with a very nice kitchenette and balcony. It also had a beautiful view. Stayed here 2 nights.

The Super 8 in Jackson is a rather expensive motel. The motel itself is OK, the staff was very friendly and helpfull, the room was clean. Sanitary good be better.
The room we had was next to a hanger or something like that, so the view out of the window was a huge brick wall. Not that this was bothering as well as the engine/generator running in the hanger all night long, making enough noise to make sleeping not that easy.
Breakfast was good.
For the price we paid, we expected more. I few years ago we stayed at the Motel 6 in Jackson, but the difference in price doesn’t compare to the difference in value.

My first piece of advice, don't stay in Jackson because everything is incrediblly overpriced. All of the restaurants cost at least $14 a plate, the stores are marked up, and hotels that should onlyl cost $70 a night cost $130 a night.

Super 8 is known for being a basic hotel that isn't very expensive, but this place couldn't even get the basics right. I'll make a list of complaints: There is no elevator so if you're on the 3rd floor, hope that Grandma isn't with you on this trip; the water pressure in the showers is awful so it takes forever to get clean while standing there under a trickle of water shivering because it isn't hot enough; breakfast sucks because there is hardly anything to eat, the juice machine doesn't work, the only worthwhile thing is the oatmeal and english muffin, and the breakfast room is so small that breakfast time is a mad house of people; the rooms hardly have enough room to move around in becase they are so small; the air conditioning has no thermostat so you have to wake up several times in the night to turn it on and off; the windows have no screens so if you have them open you get all kinds of bugs in the room; and the wireless internet is very slow, 2Mbps on average!

Please don't stay here. I'm done complaining.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.
