“Wonderful Place!”
Reviewed July 22, 2012

We spent a night in Greybull on our way to Yellowstone. The Historic Greybull Hotel is a real charmer! The owners have restored the old building beautifully. There is a restaurant in the basement that used to be an old speak easy during prohibition. The rooms were small but very cute. The only drawback was having the WC across the hall. They did have suites available that have the facilities in the room. It was a real jewel in our travels!

Room Tip: We got a room with the king size bed that was right across from the bathroom!!

I discovered this historic hotel when searching for a place for us to stay after leaving Yellowstone. The gentleman with whom I spoke greeted us warmly when we arrived later than expected. The room was adorable and reminded me of a room in my grandmother's centennial farmhouse. And breakfast exceeded our expectations! Please note, though, if you are shy about sharing a toilet with neighbors, I suggest booking a room with a toilet. Also, please note that you will be carrying your luggage up a steep flight of stairs, so be sure to take only what you need Otherwise, I found the place charming and will definitely stay there again!

We stayed at this hotel on a cross-country trip. We arrived just before midnight, and the managers/staff were very accommodating despite our late arrival. The room was clean, nice & quiet, and the bed had the best mattress we slept on during our 10-day journey. It was so comfortable that we slept in until nearly 11 am and missed the complementary breakfast. But, then the manager offered us fruit and snacks as we checked out.

We found this historic place online in a desperate search for a clean place to stay after leaving Yellowstone. This place looked nice and funky and wee were ready for an adventure. When I called to book the room, the gentleman on the phone was fabulous! VERY FRIENDLY and very patient with me. We ended up booking over the phone. For a great price we got the 2 bedroom suit with a kitchen, sitting ahead, and desk area, and a private bathroom. We were so happy! The next morning breakfast was on them and it was the perfect way to start the day. If I am lucky enough to be in the area again, I will most certainly stay here again! Loved it!!

Room Tip: Oops, there was no pool or fitness center. There is no central air so in the summer it can be a tee...

We found this hotel & history very interesting. However, I would suggest you check to see if they are doing construction as it is an old building and light and noise comes through the walls very easily. We arrived in late & they were still very nice. Though make note if your going to be late in greybull make sure you have your own supplies that town shuts down early.

Wonderful old west building renovated to meet the needs of modern travelers. Really good beds. Cannot say enough for the service of the owner and staff. They were spectacular. Will stay there again.

We found the Greybull Historic Hotel on line and booked a room for one night on our way home from a two-week road trip in the West. We found the hotel very interesting and enjoyed its history and uniqueness as compared to cookie-cutter motels. The owners were friendly and helpful. For the modest price, we had a clean two bedroom suite that included a kitchen, sitting room and private bathroom. In addition, we ate our evening meal at their restaurant and my husband said his meal was th best he had had on our entire vacation. If you would like to step back in time with a unique experience in a quiet little town, this hotel will not disappoint.
