A good place to stop for the night. Very nice setting with mountain views. Clean rooms, nice staff. Close to I-80.

I loved this hotel. It's brand new, beautifully decorated, and very clean. The front desk clerk was very helpful and courteous. The beds were perfect and I slept like a baby - fresh, new clean sheets, thick mattresses. The location of the hotel and the view were beautiful - it's located away from town at the base of a hill with rock formations up at the top - very zen-like environment. The breakfast selections were wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel.

We visited Green River for a night on our way up to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. We specifically selected Green River so we could do a wild horses tour. The hotel sits on the Wild Horse Canyon Trail - even more convenient than we realized. The hotel is new, clean, and we were very satisfied with it. We requested a back-side room with a view of the rock formations, which are illuminated at night by the hotel and make a great view of an otherwise "sleepy" (boring) town. Free cont. breakfast in the morning. The only issue we had was we could not get the in-room WiFi to work, and the front desk was unhelpful with the issue. Also, the hot water in the shower takes a LONG time to heat up, wasting a lot of water in the meantime.

The people are very helpful and friendly. The staff and manager are knowledgeable about the area and willingly relate their knowledge. The day we stayed there, the hotel had a delicious lite dinner also.

Green River is a small town located on the Green River along Interstate 80. It was created in the 1860's as a water stop by the Union Pacific Railroad as it was building the first continental railway. Much of the original construction of the railroad bridge over the river still exists to this day. Today, Green River is a major yard and crew change point and is in motion 24-hours a day. Castle Rock looms hugely over the entire scene with I-80 running underneath it within the only tunnel along its entire length. However, accommodations were limited and old, with several of them close to yards being used primarily as crew's quarters, until the Hamption Inn was built.

The Hampton Inn, a subsidiary of the Hilton chain, was a carbon copy of the Holiday Inn Express layout, which is quite nice. Even the oversized rooms with their comfortable beds and bathrooms with large granite table encased in cherry wood look the same. The staff smiled at me when I passed them and the reception was first class. When I told the attendant that I was with the Government she reduced my room charge to $85 on the spot, no questions asked, although that option is not on their website. A free, quite decent dinner was offered which was something I never came across anywhere else. Breakfast was the standard eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal type.

And the scenery was first class. Huge walls of sandstone surround the hotel and there is a dramatic and fairly long entry road to the hotel itself that is lit by a closely packed street light affair that looks very inviting.

I am a railroad sub-foamer and Green River is one of my favorite places to watch trains. Having discovered this place I will never stay anywhere else ever again, for this place even eclipses the other offerings in Rock Springs, a larger city ten miles to the East. Green River is much more scenic. The staff was some of the friendliest I've come across.

One of the best Hampton Inns I've encountered in some time. Only bad thing I can find to say is that access to the hotel off of I-80 needs to be better marked. Facilities are far above average, staff is very friendly and helpful. Green River is a small town and the hotel is on the outskirts, so you have to go looking for a restaurant. But now that I know how to find the place, I'll be back.

My other half and I ventured up to Wyoming and Utah for my birthday. We wanted to explore the area around Green River so we made the Hampton Inn our home base for a few of the days. We were not disappointed! The hotel is relatively new, and sits a little bit off of the interstate and the main town. It is very quiet, and if you book a room ask for the view of the teapot and sugarbowl. It is a natural rock formation that is right out of your window. They have it softly lit at night so you can sit and admire it and the wild animals that scurry and live around it. Hampton suites are so comfortable! Lots of room to spread out and relax. The pool, hot tub area is very nice with a lap pool and a large hot tub. There is also a nice workout room. Breakfast is the standard Hampton Inn fare and was tasty. The coffee is delicious! When in the Green River area, do not miss taking the road right behind the hotel which takes you up on the mesa above the town, and into the wild horse range, well worth the drive! Also, not far away is the White Mountain petroglyphs, and in the opposite direction, the Flaming Gorge...all worth the visit!!! The staff was very friendly at this facility also, with great recommendations on what to take in during the day! This Hampton Inn also offers an evening snack offering during the week.
