We stayed at the ranch for a few days and decided to forego cooking one day and check out the restaurant. Diverse menu selections with good food. Drink prices were very good compared to Scottsdale. We only ate dinner there, but I'd expect the same from other meals. Excellent staff

My husband and I were looking for a restaurant that had 'something different' to offer after having tried a few restaurants in Dubois, Wyoming. We heard about a restaurant on Union Pass road that was part of the Crooked Creek Guest Ranch and decided to give it a try.

Upon arriving we were impressed with the beauty of the area. Crooked Creek Guest Ranch consists of cabins, and a main lodge. The buildings are built of logs and offer lodging, horseback-riding, and rentals of snowmobiles and ORV's.

Going inside the main building (lodge) we entered a large room. Massive logs were used in the construction and we were impressed with how beautifully the building was built.
The bathrooms were clean and decorated nicely. There was also a larger dining room that was empty, but could accomodate many people if needed. Numerous items on the walls had to do with logging or horses. A large fireplace was at the end of the room. The atmosphere seemed casual but friendly with staff working at the bar, and also waiting on customers.

It took a while to be waited on due to a large group arriving just before us, but the waiter was very apologetic and tried his best to keep our drinks filled until we received our food.

The menu had a variety of items such as salads, hamburgers, and other 'American' fare.
We stopped by for lunch.
My husband ordered a hamburger with sweet potato fries. I ordered a salad with chicken.
The salad was fresh and delicious. My husband also enjoyed his hamburger and the fries were crisp but not greasy. We decided the food was worth the wait.

Note: We went back to Crooked Creek a few weeks later for dinner and were waited on right away. We ordered steaks that were reasonably priced and tender.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience - Beautiful drive, lovely lodge, good food that was reasonably priced. We would recommend this experience to anyone who wants a nice meal in a beautiful environment.
