We stayed here in April 2017 one night while driving north from Arizona.
The hotel is quite new, though inexpensively built – so sound proofing is minimal. And unfortunately, one side of the hotel faces the offramp from the freeway, and the other faces a truck fueling station. So either side, you have a bit of a noise issue – though I suspect it’s much worse on the freeway side (we were on the other side).
Otherwise it was a nice property. Everything is new and works well. The room was large and clean and the bathroom was nice with a fair bit of counter space.
Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn, so it was good and had some fresh fruit.
Wifi was good.
Douglas itself is pretty small, and most of the restaurants are closed on Sunday (the day we were there).
So all in all it was a good stay, but I’d for sure avoid the freeway side of the hotel – and see if you can get a room at the end of the hotel which is furthest from the truck fueling station.More
