Only stayed for one night after coming from Red Lodge and heading back to Jackson but will be coming back again for a longer visit and a chance to experience more of this great place and the really friendly owners and staff.

1. Staff: wonderful, sweet, helpful with attractions in area, ideas on places to go and events to do.Miachel was great in helping me book a special room for our honeymoon.
2. Cabin: Adorable. Such great log and woodwork. Right by a babbling brook with a cute bridge with wagon wheel siderails, The jet tub was awesome in relaxing away my aches from hiking. The bathroom was beautiful with tile and a new modern style sink.
3.Food: The lodge has a resturaunt, Great food. Cooked to order, large portions, reasonable prices and the best wait staff in the world. The waitress brightened your day every time we saw her.
4.Price: the best!! cabin with jet tub $140/night. amazing. Yellowstones prices were high and the hotels/cabins were OLD and some didnt even have private bathrooms or showers!!
5 Overall; This is defianatley the place to go. They not only is the staff, food, cabin and price wonderful but they also offer great activities such as pack hiking, horseback riding with dinner or breakfast cooked on an open fire.We are definatley going back and we are bringing more people with us.

We stayed two nights in a cabin right next to the creek. Very clean and comfortable with a nice, jetted bathtub. The food was delicious (had breakfast and dinner there both days). Our 4 year old son took a pony ride around the resort and walked so tall afterwards. He especially enjoyed the marshmallow roast each night around the campfire. The icing on the cake was the staff. Miss Ruth from Florida and the lady from Eufaula, Alabama absolutely made our son's day, especially when Miss Ruth's dog, Speck, made his appearance. The staff members were warm, friendly and helpful. It was almost like visiting friends/family. Of all the places we stayed/visited while visiting Yellowstone, it was the best. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will definitely return, but next time, we'll stay longer and be sure to take a horseback ride through bear country!

Our recent mini-reunion with friends at the beautiful Shoshone Lodge could not have been better. Our log cabins were spotless & cozy, can't beat the location, the food was great and the staff and owners were genuinely warm and friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome & pretty much part of the family! This was my third visit to the Shoshone in the past four years & it's interesting to note that each time you can tell that many improvements have been made (cabins updated and redecorated, cool old Western songs playing in the background at dinner, new corrals built, etc.) but somehow it feels more charming than ever. Sure hope to be back for many years to come!

Shoshone Lodge is located 4 miles from the eastern entrance to Yellowstone park. This entrance is much quieter than the western one--no neon signs or tacky development. The lodge is made up of little cabins that are sparkling clean and very comfortable, set in the woods next to a stream. We had a two room cabin for the price of an average hotel room. You can fish, hike, or ride horses at the lodge, or travel into the park. At night, there is a campfire for marshmallows. The lodge restaurant serves simple, well-cooked food. The standard Wyoming beef and buffalo are very well cooked, and they also make an excellent trout dish. Staff is warm, friendly and helpful. We loved our stay!

As mother of the groom having the wedding there was a breeze...even from Atlanta! Mike and Betsy, the owners, live in one of the comfy cabins on the property and do everything they can to make your stay the best. The facility is authentic West; the setting is beautiful-a few miles from Yellowstone's east entrance; the staff is so friendly and helpful; the food is wonderful...the whole experience just couldn't have been better. I will definitely visit again!
