We decided to splurge and get the family suite. First problem, as soon as the air conditioner was turned on it was spitting water out the front and making a loud grinding noise. After calling the front desk a 70's something women showed up with no tools, but she did put a towel on the floor to catch the water and told us not to turn the thermostat lower than 68 degrees! THATS RIGHT, 68 DEGREES. WHATS THE POINT. The "suite" has two rooms, a king bed in the main room and a queen in the back room, which has no windows and the broken air conditioner. I guess windows wouldn't make much difference due to the view is of K-Mart. When we returned from dinner the air conditioner in the main room was working but around 10:00pm it quit cooling and ran all night blowing un-conditioned air. The room was hot and stuffy due to lack of windows, but with the loud street noise we couldn't keep the one window open anyway.
To get to the small pool you have to walk across the parking lot. The breakfast is a joke, we ended up at the buffet at the Irma. Also no flat screen TV here, and the old TV sits on such a low stand you can't watch it from the bed.
I have left messages for the owner's and manager, but my calls have not been returned.
THIS ROOM WAS ALMOST $200. I EXPECTED A LITTLE NICER PLACE, WE GOT RIPPED!

Room Tip: Stay down town on main street or out past the Buffalo Bill Center.

Here’s a great Mom & Pop hotel with owners on staff and dedicated to making your stay reasonable and comfortable. You won’t find a hot breakfast, but what is offered is decent. The pool is outdoor and enclosed. Though it lacks umbrellas for the tables, the chaise lounges and the cement deck make walking safe and lounging pleasant. We especially appreciated that the prices were not rigid, including for multiple night stays. And all the staff are just plain friendly. Arrival date: Aug 30, 2013. Departure: Sep 3, 2013.

We were travelling to Yellowstone so needed a place that was close enough to the park yet not at "park prices" and this fit the bill. The wood décor made you feel like you're at someone's cabin in the woods but with all the modern amenities. Wifi was a little hit or miss and for the price, a full hot breakfast would have been nice but all around it was a great stay!

Nice clean room with good pillows on the bed. Friendly people at the desk. Not much of a breakfast but that wouldn't keep me from staying here again. The fan in the bathroom runs all the time...Kind of weird but it isn't noisy if you keep the door closed. All in all, a totally acceptable place to stay in Cody.

Everything was good at the Legacy Inn. The title or the review is a humorous reference to the height of the bed, the furniture is done in a rustic log style and it is no exaggeration my wife climbed into bed.

The beds and linens themselves were clean, comforting and soft. The room was large enough, and the bathrooms well decorated with higher grade toiletries. In our case there was a separate tub and shower. The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of bath linens.

True the breakfast is a limited continental style breakfast; but in the hotel's defense they do make that quite clear at all stages. For us the breakfast was adequate and did provide a sufficient start to the day.

The pool is large enough and I was able to do a few laps before we set out for dinner.

We stayed twice over a one week period and both experiences were without problem.

The front desk personnel were helpful and courteous at all times.
