“Charming, friendly hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

We stayed in Cody for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Our room was comfortable; it was perfectly located off the main street and the staff was welcoming and helpful. They have a charming patio garden where we had our nightly cocktails. No elevator, but the staff handled our luggage for us.

Room Tip: Our room did not have a closet, just hooks. If you stay more than one night I would ask for one of...

Such a charming boutique hotel in the middle of town.....The Chamberlain's owners have given much to detail with the period pieces, the common rooms and the guest rooms. Ours was up a flight of stairs....but fear not, there were willing employees offering to carry up our bags. The rooms were adequate size, with coffee, flat screen TV with wireless access. The claw footed tub was lovely, complete with Parisian bath salts!

We especially appreciated the knowledge of the hotel's founder and her colorful bio available in the reception area.

We will return to The Chamberlain!

Room Tip: If you need a larger room, there are several choices available.

This is a fasinating hotel. It is located downtown so you can walk everywhere. The rooms are small but very well done...just like an elegant old west hotel! They recently got a liquour license so they opened a small bar in the hotel just off the beautiful patio. I spent time sipping a glass of wine and catching up on emails.- talk about a relaxing afternoon. The owners are very gratious and even gave me a ride to a local golf course to hit a few range balls. They really go the extra few steps to make one feel welcome. We are already planning another trip to Cody just to stay at the Chamberlin.

Room Tip: Rooms on the alley were a little noisy in the morning.

My husband and I just spent a night at the Chamberlin Inn. It's was better than we expected. It was beautifully restored, but was chicly done. After a long drive from Denver to Cody, we enjoyed a warm welcome, and all our questions were answered by the friendly clerk. We went to the Inn's bar and enjoyed excellent cocktails in their beautiful courtyard amongst several other guests. We also enjoyed a complimentary cheese tray. The spotless room was small, but had everything we needed including a comfortable bed with fine linens. We could walk anywhere in town, and I wished we could have spent another night there.

the chamberlin inn is a very nice inn, centrally located with many cody shops within walking distance.
we were a family of 4 with two small children. the children slept on the hideabed, (not for adults i can assure you as it was an older hideabed and the mattress 'swooped' down in the center)
the room was very clean; linens very nice; bathroom very clean and very nice.
the staff was extremely helpful and cordial.

prior to arriving i asked several times about there being a door to the bedroom; it was a special occasion for us and some 'privacy' between the LR and the bedroom would have been nice. i was repeatedly assured that there was a door...and yes, there are french doors between the LR and the bedroom but they are glass doors and no privacy at all when you have children. they did give us some sheets to hang up to cover the glass.

the courtyard is very pretty and overall, if i had stayed there with only the two of us and not the whole family, i would say this was a stellar event -
however, the buffalo bill king suite is meant only for two adults and not a family. keep that in mind for your special occasion.

our bedroom did not have a screen on the window so we could not open our window in the bedroom to get some cooler air (AC was in LR only)

Room Tip: call the chamberlin staff and speak with them directly. they are all very helpful and can answer yo...

A very nice restored hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms are all different. They have a nice bar on site with a very nice courtyard. Room views are not great but it's not a pretty city. Would stay again.

Thorougjly enjoyed my stay at this spotless and charming historical inn. Located 1/2 block off of the main drag and walking distance to the museum and restaurants. Gracious hosts. Although you have the charm of history, rooms featured flat screen tvs and everything worked
