We drove out of Cody on a gravel road, as instructed, right past a herd of pronghorns at sunset. We spent the night in a cozily decorated, authentic covered wagon, steps from a modern private bathroom. We woke to a stunning landscape in every direction, and delicious breakfast cooked in a teepee! Jerry couldn't have been more welcoming - or more of an authentic Old West storyteller. We were STRONGLY tempted to stay an extra day, despite a fully scheduled trip to Yellowstone to get to. We would go back in a heartbeat!

This is a one-of-a-kind B&B, if you want to get the feel of a guest ranch in Wyoming this is a great place to stay. Unique decor in the rooms, each one different and all western/cowboy themed. My sister and I stayed here on our way to Yellowstone and had the place all to ourselves, as the host Jerry stays in town with his wife Bette. It's a short drive to town, well worth the extra ten minutes. Great scenery, great stories, great breakfast out on the patio. Overall, a great experience!

The most genuine people you'll ever meet! We stayed in the Glamorous Hideout Tent... see pics attached... It was wonderful! It included a bottle of wine and some snacks for those late night cravings... Jerry, his wife and crew were very welcoming and the breakfasts were filling and delicious! When we arrived we had just driven over 1500 miles... we were tired to say the least... the town of Cody was just down the street (maybe a 5 to 7 minute drive) which was perfect and Jerry recommended a GREAT Italian restaurant where the food was tasty and filling had wonderful atmosphere and also was affordable... we liked it sooo much we ate there for the 2 nights we were in town... the town is far enough away so that at night you can see the stars like never before but close enough you don't mind the scenic drive... The rooms were clean and very well kept... the bathroom was spacious... the bed SUPER comfy... it was like a little oasis off the beaten path... seriously... if you are planning on seeing Yellowstone or visit Cody... this is the place to be HANDS DOWN!

We stayed in the Chuck wagon Room Sept 2012. All of the rooms are wonderfully decorated with western decor. The location is private and picturesque. The scenery is ideal for relaxing, unwinding and enjoying "Big Sky Country". At night, we sat in the Tee Pee pictured above and star-gazed in the quiet landscape. Now about your host, Jerry, he is a HOOT! We felt like family while there. His breakfasts are excellent and filling. You can really get spoiled at the K3.

Room Tip: I was traveling with 3 friends so the Chuck Wagon Room provided plenty of room for 3 ladies.

Our family of five booked the sheepherder's wagon and the steps-away bunk house this summer. As long as you go in with the mindset that this is a B&B, and not a hotel, it will be great fun. The sheepherder's wagon is tiny, not really suitable for two adults, so two of the kids slept there while the adults and the other kid slept in the bunk house. The two facilities share a separate bath house, but the K3 rents the wagon/bunk house combo only one at a time or to families, so you would not be sharing the bath with strangers.

Neither the wagon nor the bunk house has a TV (ordinarily not a problem, but we were there during the Olympics), but there is a TV in the main house that both the inside and outside guests are welcome to use. Both facilities have a/c and heat, and the wagon has running water.

The setting is lovely, and though it is just a few minutes outside of Cody, there were plenty of deer and antelope at play in the fields. The hosts were friendly and very relaxed. There are few rules other than "be here by 6." Divot, the Aussie, was our favorite host (no offense, Jerry), and the kids enjoyed watching him "work" in the mornings.

We toured the glamping tent, and it is spacious and much more hotel-like than the other options. It also has its own TV if that is important to you.

I do not know that we will be in Cody again, but if we were, we would definitely stay at the K3.

Great setting outside of a slightly 'dorky' and tacky Cody, we enjoyed every minute on the ranch. Jerry was a fantastic host, amazing guy full of stories and info on the area. Cooked us a lovely breakfast on the patio, which we shared with two other guests staying that night. We stayed in the sheep wagon and it was perfect, small but perfectly formed and a great way to wake up, looking out of the little window as the sun rose.

We stayed in the Sheepherder's Wagon and had so much fun. Jerry, our host, was quite a character and seemed to genuinely enjoy playing his part. The wagon was definitely a unique adventure (rocking all night in the windstorm). But it was also well appointed and the bathroom was literally steps away and comfortable (no out-house type problems). We also took advantage of the tipi space in the early evening before. What a wonderful taste of the "wild-west"

Room Tip: If you're not afraid of a little adventure, go for the wagon!
