The most comfortable bed, by far, than all the places we stayed, grand and not-so-grand, on a cross country road trip from Alaska to Pennsylvania and back - 4,000 plus miles! Though the location was just a pit stop off the highway leading into Cody, without a view to speak of, but the cabin/rooms were lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. After a long day on the road, our room was a pleasant oasis, a nice bathroom with thick, fluffy towels, a large flat screen TV, large COMFORTABLE bed, with fluffy warm comforter. Absolutely loved the place.

Could this be the best rest in the West? Quite likely.
The individual log cabins provide great accommodation; we stayed in what's called a "mini-suite" and had but one complaint: poor lighting. Otherwise... exceptional layout, individual flat screen tvs in both sitting room and bedroom, and, aboe all, beds that are absolutely terrific, Also, the staff is exceptionally courteous and helpful. If only all roadside lodgings were this good...

While on our third cross country road trip, we booked a stay at another hotel in Cody and it was disgusting. We happened to see the Cody Cowboy Village and went to inquire. The staff is fantastic. A lady named Petra took the time to show us a room, told us a little about Cody, and even made dinner reservations for us. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The rooms are spotless and the beds are the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel/motel. I would highly recommend this facility for the quality, cleanliness and helpfulness of the entire staff. Top quality for sure at a reasonable cost. I only wish we knew about this earlier so that we could have arranged to stay longer and plan our side trips from there. If you travel with children you might want to inquire about their suites. You won't be disappointed.

Once again our trusty Tripadvisor led the way. We travel by motorcycle and on this trip we set out to see everything between Chicago and Yellowstone and booked four nights in Cody as our base camp for day trips to Yellowstone and the surrounding areas.

There is a laundry list of reasons why we booked, the location, testimonials, price point, photos etc, but what clinched the deal was the W mattresses. We figured that we would be enjoying long and rewarding days of being on the bike but in tandem, we would be exhausted at the end of those days. Both the mattresses and the property in it's entirety, exceeded our expectations in every way.

When you arrive, you are greeted by an impeccably kept and inviting Wyoming arch & paved circular driveway that connects the cabins and office. In awe, we stumbled off the bike and into the office where we were greeted by the proprietor, Rick. I don't think I will ever meet a person so naturally hospitable and welcoming. He seemed genuinely interested in our journey up to that point and what was to come in the following days in the area. He offered us valuable travel and sightseeing advice and due to the hour, was swift in recommending a place for a nice dinner in town. The theme seemed to be predicting our every need ! He checked us in and we made our way to our cozy and luxurious cabin. We felt blissfully comfortable unwinding while still getting the feel of a Wyoming cabin experience (complete with authentic tumbleweed on our porch) !

As far as the appointments, they found a way to decorate the cabins with a classic cowboy accent minus the chintz or tack and completed them appropriate cabin lighting and inviting front porch bistro seating for taking in sunrises and sunsets. One of the first things I noticed was the quality of all the appointments, the sink, the shower, the towel bars, lamps, furniture... instead of going the "cheap & new for now" route, they spent money here, doing it the right way and I'm sure it will pay off with these cabins standing up to alot of visitors and looking new for a long long time...

CCV invites you to a very generous continental breakfast every morning, (tea and coffee all day) in the lounge/tv/internet area that is shared with the office. It was a standard occurrence to walk over and find all the guests and staff chit chatting the morning and evening about the days events such as animal sightings and of course, the scenic awe of the area...Most of us plan our trips before hand but take advantage of the willingness and knowledge the staff offer to help you get the most out of your visit...

As I mentioned earlier, we travel by motorcycle and CCV offers a motorcycle washing station, as if we didn't feel special enough to begin with!

As far as location is concerned, it is minutes from the Buffalo Bill Museum and downtown Cody. Since Yellowstone was our main destination, I liked being sort of at the edge of town and closer to the route to the Park so we didn't have to go through town every morning. Right across the street is a restaurant called Our Place in case you need a taller order for breakfast and the Silver Dollar Lounge is just a quick drive into town for a great jukebox, a hearty & delicious burger and nightcap after a day of sightseeing...

It is about 50 miles to the Eastern entrance of Yellowstone and 65 miles to the Bear Tooth Highway and it's address will be your home away from home in Wyoming...

What a find! New facility, charming cabins in picturesque setting. Our cabin was well appointed, tastefully decorated in western motif, and spotlessly clean. Beautiful bathroom too. Management was kind, friendy and very accomodating. Cody was one of our stops on a three week trip out west. We are frequent travelers, and stayed at many excellent places throughout this trip, and Cody's Cowboy Village was among the best; a highlight. Very highly recommended!
