“The log cabins are very good, however...”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

We loved the log cabin, it was clean, spacious with two huge queen sized beds and a nice bathroom. Four pillow to each bed is a real bonus as there are loads of tv channels including sports.
The views of the mountains are spectacular.
However, there are a couple if hints that took a little of the sparkle away...
We were in one of the furthest cabins away from reception and the Internet connection was almost none existent - our devices would connect, then drop continually. I know you don't come here for the Internet, but we use it to book our next nights hotel and activities, when doing road trips so, in the late evening and early morning it is important to us. I did as the sign said and walked to the office and asked about the Internet and the lady in reception tried, but couldn't help and said my wife an I were welcome to sit in he breakfast area to use the Internet and when the office closed at 10, west could sit on the verandah and still get a signal - kind offer, not very practical.
Another couple of things that I didn't understand;
Need ice ? Walk the 500 yard round trip to the office and ask for a bucket of ice.
Fancy a coffee ? Walk the 500 yard round trip to the office and get one as there are no coffee making facilities in be room.
Walk to the office for breakfast and take it, and your coffee back to your room as there are only a few tables in the dining area.
The cabins are almost two miles from town centre so you will need to drive in to town. It's well worth it though as the town is a lovely, fascinating place.
I'm just off on the round trip to get a coffee before we leave...

Room Tip: Ask for a cabin as close to the office as possible.

We are a MD couple that has now stayed at the Cody Cowboy Village 2 years in a row, and just booked our next trip for this coming summer. You couldn't ask for a more friendly staff (Petra / Sue) and a truly involved owner (Bill). All of them made us feel like family. The rooms are so clean you could eat off the floors. The beds are like heaven after a long day out. You walk inside the cabin and it makes you feel like your in the West, but the comforts of 2013. Bill I want that boot lamp... I may have to sneak it out next year. If you need anything from directions, where to eat, what to see, and something small you may have forgotten they are right there to help. The hot tub is heated and wonderful on a cool night. The views couldn't be better. If you stay some where else, you will regret not staying at the CCV.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great but the rooms towards the rear of the property are the best view for that mo...

The room was clean and comfortable with a western motif. Fluffy down comforters, air conditioning, and cozy log walls were a welcomed feeling after a long day of driving across Wyoming. These cabins are at a great location on the outskirts of a fun town. The old-west historical town is within walking distance, and there are amazing views of the mountains on one side and the sagebrush-covered ground in the valley. The area has maintained the old-west feel without being overly-commercialized. The rodeo down the street added to the western ambiance. The cabins appear to be new and there is little wear-and-tear on the rooms. The décor is western, but not dated and cheap-looking. The black and red plaid wallpaper in the bathroom was memorable. On the down side, the next-door neighbor had a dog that barked into the night. Also, the parking was tight and the room was a little cramped for three people; but, overall it was a great stay. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of items to choose from. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It was reasonably priced for the area and I hope to stay here again when traveling to Yellowstone.

This was by far the nicest of all cabins we stayed at during our motorcycle trip of Yellowstone. King room was beautiful and clean....bathroom same....only thing missing from room was maybe a frig. but manager will provide you with a cooler and ice.....our view overlooked the hot tub...note it's not a pool. The breakfast was wonderful! Owner and manager were awesome. Close to rodeo....is on the edge of town so must drive in. Will stay here again!! Price was a good value!

This is a great place to stay to get you in the mode of the west. The innkeepers are as helpful as they can get. The cabins are clean and in great shape. Breakfast in the morning is included, we like it so much we are staying another night!

Check in quickly, back up to your door and walk into a beautifully clean log cabin room. Relax for a bit and then go see Cody, WY.
We had a delightful stay at the Cowboy Village. The room had everything we needed to enjoy our visit to this historic town. The room had a cathedral ceiling with the log timbers. There are windows front and back so the cross ventilation is possible. The AC/heat works well and the bed is oh so comfortable. The breakfast is good with biscuits and gravy, muffins, HB eggs. The staff is helpful and they remember the things they promise you. I asked for an emailed receipt and they did it.
Now, I am not one to attempt to drag ratings up and down by giving ones and fives where they are not truly deserved. To me a 5 requires a level of excellence that sets the standard for which others should strive. Had I never stayed in true 5 star luxury I would have given the Cody Cowboy Village a 5. But I have, and integrity will not allow me to say they are the same. And yet, I feel that my 4 is selling them short.
We will stay at the CCV in the future.

This village was so cute and a fun place to stay. We enjoyed the cabin, very clean with comfortable beds. A bit small, but we managed. We had two queen beds. The bathroom was spotless with an excellent shower, great water pressure. The breakfast left a lot to be desired, alot of carbs. Theres a nice place across the street ( Our Place) if you want something more. The rodeo was within easy walking distance. Old Trail Town is right next door. The pool (hot tub) was fun, although a bit small. We enjoyed a swim both days we stayed. The front desk staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. They always had a smile. We would stay here again without hesitation. We had a great time in Cody. Loved it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the hot tub.
