We stayed at the Skyline Motor Inn on 8/24/13. The room was quite large and had a
comfortable seating arrangement for watching TV. They had cable and
everything worked. You could park right outside your door which made it easy to load
and unload. The office staff were friendly. The place was clean and well kept. It was
also quite. Close to grocery stores and places to eat. Reasonably priced. I would
stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose a room where you can park right outside your door with no stairs.

The motel is old style, a little worn. Did not have a fridge or a microwave, but had coffee maker and TV. Breakfast was 'continental' style But was sufficient for our needs. Bed was a bit firm for my tastes, and the air conditioner was noisy. There is a large grocery store next door that sold some hot food.
It is not far from the Buffalo Bill Historic Centre (which is very good by any measure, and is a must see even if [like me] you do not not particularly like guns or cowboys). Buffalo Bill dam is also worth a visit if dams have any appeal -checkout the free visitor's centre.
We drove to Cody from Yellowstone NE entrance - some spectacular scenery, and a good road as long as you do not mind tight bends.

Quite dated room, but adequate. Spacious. Clean. The breakfast was basic, not going to shake the Earth, but also adequate. Television and air con in the room. I understand that $95 is pretty cheap for Cody.

Despite a very late arrival - we got stuck in an accident in the park and the lady had to work overtime to wait for us - a very warm reception for a nice room next to McDonald (the only place in Cody where you get something to eat after 11pm!).
Another positive surprise was the breakfast - no air condition, no blaring TV set, but nice c&w music and a happily whistling friendly guy serving a good breakfast.
Unrestricted recommendatation from a globetrotter couple!

I discovered that $95 is cheap for a motel in Cody, Wyoming. Had no idea it was so expensive but given that it's the gateway to Yellowstone maybe I should have. The Skyline was a modest $125 by Cody standards and it did not disappoint. I stayed one night and stayed a second a couple of days later as I was injured on a hiking trip. Both rooms were clean and tidy. Although it is an older motel, all fixtures seemed new and in working order. Free internet and coffee - what more can you ask for?

Also - apparently the front desk does not stay open after 11pm so if you've have reserved and will be coming in later, then you should probably call ahead and make arrangements to obtain the room key.

We pulled in tired from riding through the Tetons and Yellowstone. The motel is decent for the price. I always like being able to park my bike right outside my door. The room showed the age of the motel but was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast wasn't overly exciting so we walked next door to the nearby Subway and had a great flat bread breakfast sandwich. I would definitely stay at this motel again.

Stayed here for two nights in July 2013. Room smelled moldy and overall was in poor condition. Both tub and sink drains were VERY slow. Furnishings in ratty condition. Rug was tattered and dirty. The free breakfast was very sparse. Very overpriced for what you get. Find someplace else to stay.

Room Tip: Rooms in a different accommodation would be preferred.
