“Very enjoyable stay, and Paul was the frosting on the cake.”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

On our trip to Yellowstone, our stay at the Skyline Motel was just fine. Through the years we have stayed at many motels, and for the most part we've always enjoyed them. It just helps to have a comfortable environment to stay in.
And then came the frosting on the cake. At Skyline, like most motels, they offer a Continental breakfast; nice and so comfortable, but Paul was an addition that we had not seen before. He had an accordion setting on the counter, and when he would get caught up on taking care of customers he would strap it on and play ez listening music; something out of the ordinary and nice.

p.s. if Skyline sees this review, please give our regards to Paul.

Stayed for 2 night in July 2012, after driving the Beartooth Highway and the next night after the rodeo. Just a couple of minutes drive to downtown Cody, the Irma, the Buffalo Bill Historical centre and then a little further to the rodeo. Receptionist was efficient and polite on check in, room was clean as was bathroom. We had a TV will full channel listings. Ice available on the premises. Parking in front of room. Breakfast of cold and hot drinks, pastries/muffins, fruit was available. A good value and convenient stay in Cody.

Classic American motel, essential but cleaned. possibility to park the car in front of the room.Continental breakfast with just coffee and pastries. Helpful and nice staff. Town is very small but the Rodeo worth's the price.

We stopped here on the way to Yellowstone NP. It was ok for 1 night but it's a basic motel. Rooms could do with some renovation. On the contrary must say that breakfast was not bad and the guy there was friendly.

The motel is not fancy or upscale, but you get just what you need. A nice bed, a clean room, and yes...an old television. Just like in the early days!
And...very, very nice and helpful people on frontdesk even as in the breakfast room! In no time, your feeling friends.

We stayed at the Skyline on our way to Yellowstone/Grand Teton N.P. It's not located downtown mainstreet (which I thought it would be closer), but the room was very affordable and clean. It's very retro, right down to our pink tile in the bathroom. However, since it is on the older side, it was the best shower I have had in a while! No "slow flow" here! The shower felt like a massage! It was wonderful. The rooms were not fancy, but clean, and the continental breakfast was good: standard cereal, juice, English muffins, muffins, and even some oatmeal and fruit. The best thing about breakfast was the pleasant surprise of being serenated by our host with an accordian. He was playing for a child sitting at the counter, but we all got to enjoy! The staff was friendly and helpful. We have 3 children and they gave us a blow up mattress (free of charge). I would stay there again.

We were looking for a place in Cody to be a home base for sightseeing and didn't want it to cost an arm and a leg. This fit the bill perfectly. We had a back corner room that was old-fashioned, but clean and roomy. I loved driving up to the door of the room, too. Very friendly staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a back room if you want quiet.
