The history of Wyoming is characterized in miniatrure in a 66-scene display with moving trains and audio narratives. Located at 142 W. Yellowstone Ave. (2.5 miles west on US 14/16/20) is Tecumseh's Old West Miniature Village and Museum. The life work of owner Jerry Fick, this amazing "miniature" village measures a gigantic 7,000 square feet and recreates key historic western events of Wyoming and Montana from the 1600s to the 1800s. Scenes include the Oregon Trail, Custer's Last Stand, Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, covered wagon migrations, etc. It is awesome! The museum also features American Indian and Old West artifacts, guns, other weaponry and wild life. This is truly one of the most unique things we have ever seen! We wish we had more time to spend there and we highly recommend you visit if you ever get to Cody. They do not charge an admission fee, but request a $5 per person donation if you wish to contribute.
