We came across this place quite by accident when we had to take a detour to Hwy 296 from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone. This leg of our journey became a highlight of the trip - my wife was in tears of awe over the breathtaking views on this road. As for the outpost, the menu is typical American nicely done, nothing fancy but served up by very friendly and attentive staff in the middle of some quite remarkable scenery. Outdoor seating is available and recommended.
If you're heading to or from Yellowstone, make a point of going through the northeast entrance (perhaps the most scenic) and taking Hwy 296. Stop here for a relaxing meal. You won't be disappointed.
