The hotel is fair price for the area.the rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool was nice. There is laundry on site. Several good places to eat very close by.50 miles from Yellowstone, and buffalo bill museum is just up the road.

Room Tip: We had the end first floor room and you could hear people going up the outside steps,

So the good: they had availability and the reception people are really nice. Hot water is always available, which is nice when everyone has to shower.

And the bad: the beds are really, really uncomfortable, and the pillows are about an inch thick, if that. Towels are very thin, and the soap is God-awful. Add to that a very noisy a/c (it needs some sort of repair).

Considering the rate you pay, I would expect better linens and pillows and definitely your typical shampoo/conditioner and soap bottles--the ones with at least average product inside. I'm not kidding, that soap could decrease an entire engine.

These things are not major costs. And, like I said, considering the rate, they should already be in place.

Huge rooms, nice bath. Good beds. So-so TV, no coffee except in the morning, slow wi-fi and no breakfast. We were here for the Stampede and would like to avoid parking hassle and walk to the arene. That was a mistake. Plenty of free parking at the rodeo, and officials to guide. This motel is a bit outside of the town. There are lots of places with a cheaper price and better location, even for the stampede.

Average place at a price, far beyond reason. Way to expensive.

We stayed one night at the Big Bear Motel in Cody. The man working the registration desk was pleasant and welcoming. When we arrived, there was a man playing a guitar, singing, and telling stories. It was fun to hear the music and have live entertainment like that at night. The motel room was clean and had the necessities that we needed. The one drawback of the place was the parking lot which was one big mud puddle. Overall, it was a decent place to stay with reasonable rates.

The motel is what you'd expect from a hotel in Cody. Everything is clean, you're close to the Cody Nite Rodeo, and not far from downtown. There is a pool for the kids to swim in before the rodeo, too. We couldn't hear our neighbors and slept well. No complaints.

DO NOT STAY HERE !!! If you want a hotel room that was nice in the 50's and has not been updated since then stay here. The beds are terrible, my wife was up most of the night thinking there were bugs crawling on her. We slept in out clothes on top of the so called comforter. The sheets looked to be pulled out of a garbage can from an hourly motel The carpet was nasty, do not go barefoot. The room smelled like a mixture of cat urine and mold. The toilet barely flushed. The shower head barely worked. The 50 year old wall furnace would not stop running and smelled like gas. The fridge did not work. Even after asking to have it looked at. There is no phone or alarm clock. The TV was a small tube type TV and did not work very well. Garage trucks rumbled through the area at 6:15am. The curtains were not room darkening on the main window and the window on the side of the room had broken blinds so light came into the hotel at first light waking our kids up. The hotel was way over priced. We cancelled out next night and found a room that was $20 more a night and was 100% better than this place. Spend the extra $20 and find a real motel/hotel.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else !!!

Basic motel room. Very clean. No blow dryer. No coffee in room & coffee not available in office until 7;30am. Towels were thin & scratchy. I've stayed at much worse, but I've spent a lot less on a lot better. Very close to Cody Rodeo.

Room Tip: Don't expect too much but is very close to Cody Rodeo.
