“So much more than a Museum”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

This is a museum like no other and it is so much more than a dry museum, it is actually an adventure. There are 5 (?) sections dedicated to different aspects of Western life, the star of which is the "Plains Indians" which is so, so interesting, Lots of dioramas to add interest to the info, especially one enormous annotated one. Also the art gallery section is worthy of world class status. Don't forget the bird show which shows large birds including vultures and eagles in the exquisite sculpture garden setting. We spent more than a day here it was so fascinating!

“"Must see when in Cody Wyoming area ! "”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

At first look, I didn't really think this would be a very good place to visit. I now know that it is one of the best places to see when in the western U.S. So much to see and do. So much of American history to see here. The firearm gun exhibit is the greatest. I thought there might be a couple of hundred guns or so. I think there are thousand's!!!!! When you go in they give you a pass for 2 days. You better plan on it. It really takes 2 days to see all of this and more like 3 days depending how interested you are. Admission seemed high, but I think most would agree it is well worth the money when you realize what they have here. I want to go back again soon.

“Great Museum!”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

My husband and I visited this attraction and LOVED it. We love anything to do with the old west. I thought that the Yellowstone part of the museum was the most impressive, because the detail put into the taxidermy was extremely impressive. We enjoyed Buffalo Bill's special museum but opted to skip the wildlife art part because we were short on time. We truly loved it and the people were extremely nice there!
