If you are a Western history buff, your life is not complete without a visit to the Cody Center. The Plains Indians exhibits are one of a kind and the art, photographs, and natural history sections are world class -- on par with anything you will encounter in NYC, Paris, or Fort Worth. The firearms section is not for everyone, but if you are a fan you will be astounded at the depth and breadth of this collection -- never seen anything like it anywhere. You can spend several days here and not absorb it all.

“Plan to Spend a Day Here”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

There are actually 5 museums in the complex with one admission price. One is art, one is weapons, one is Native American, one is natural history and one is dedicated to Buffalo Bill Cody. Everything is well displayed. All of the interactive displays that I tried worked which far better than other museums I have vistied. Only had time to attend one presentation but it was very well done.

There is a cafe and snack bar in the complex. Food was good and the prices are typical for a museum. We would like to return and spend more time at this museum.

Worth the price. This is a place that needs at least 2 days to see. Many, many exhibits. It's well worth the visit.

“Best collection we saw in Wyoming”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

As a previous reviewer already stated, " I only wish we had more time ". We didn't arrive at the museum until 3pm and unfortunately, they close at 6pm.. They had an incredible display of American Indian artifacts, guns made from the 1500's to the present, Trophy world record big game mounts, art collection, plus all the Buffalo Bill stuff. We'll be back!

“Don't miss”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

Family bought Tour and museum ticket package, which was a savings except I learned too late the museum offers free entry to military personnel. Museum is fantastic. Well laid-out and something for everyone. Too much to see in one day. We went a second day for a brief visit and got to see a chuck wagon cook outside, who offered us a sample of delicious biscuits and beans.
