The resturant is fairly new & is average on cost when it comes to motel resturants. It has friendly staff & try their best to get your order as quickly as possible

We eat here a lot. We order the same thing every single time (only place in town to get steamer clams) I am very DISAPPOINTED to see the menu has changed. I tried to order other items, only to be disappointed....its a bummer cause I won't be back....unless they can accommodate their regulars with better variety of offerings.

What a delightful surprise the 8thStreet Ivy was.

This bar and eatery are located in the Best Western Ivy Inn & Suites.

The property is new. The space is bright, airy, and appointed in the sleek, modern way. The bar area is small but big enough. My son ( an executive chef for a multi-national food service company) and I sat at the bar. The bartender, whose name I said I would remember and cannot, was perfectly delightful AND competent. The pours for our drinks were good. We eat at the bar. Our meals were tasty, well prepared and presented.

This place was a great place to spend the end of a day of driving through an early winter snow storm: and right in the very fine hotel. If you are in Cody, staying at the Best Western or not, I suggest you give the 8th Street at the Ivy a go: you won't be disappointed.

We do not give high ratings lightly. We have eaten at many well rated restaurants in big cities and this was up there with them. Our service was very good. We chose to have three appetizers between the two of us and all were very good. The cheese plate was wonderful. Very good value in our view.

After reading the reviews we visited the restaurant expecting high-end service and food....
Pros: Plenty of parking; interesting wine list - featuring domestic and foreign varieties and the (tap) water was excellent; the mushroom cream soup was one of the best ever; venison steak was exquisitely prepared and the accompanied loaded potato was prepared to perfection
Cons: Though we had reservation the maitres des did not act hospitable and we almost walked out of the restaurant; our waiter was tentative at first but as the meal progressed he would take longer to access our table - though we ordered a second serving of wine, he never delivered it, and ignored us; giant shrimp were dry (probably delivered frozen and were not properly thawed before being grilled); no acoustics - the restaurant was full of patrons and the noise was deafening, so much so that it became impossible to talk to each other without shouting
