Wish I were still there, we had a gal pal group of 4 ladies that spent a week at 7D Ranch. Might I say Wow, what a great time we had. The staff was helpful and genuinely friendly and caring, the facilities were neat as a pin, should I mention the Chef that was health conscious (Thanks Diane) and a Pastry Queen!, the horses were beautiful and well mannered, the Wranglers (Horse guides) were fun and adventurous. I had a fabulous time and would highly recommend this as a Bucket List Must! I will be back and hopefully soon! Loved it! One of my top 5 vacations of all time! Thanks 7D Ranchers for a terrific vacation!

Five of us chose this ranch from among a plethora of other "dude" ranches. We really hit the nail on the head with this particular choice. We were welcomed as though we were members of the family and were treated royally during our whole week's stay. The staff bent over backwards to be accommodating - no matter whether it was to put out fresh towels or to find just the right horse to ride. They all made it their business to make time for fly-fishing and trap-shooting. They had guest speakers - one of whom talked about bears and wolves. There was a most interesting "horse training" program with one of the unbroken yearlings - reminiscent of "The Horse Whisperer." Sitting around the campfire and singing songs - and eating s'mores - was so much fun!

Meals were served family-style. This wasn't "resort" food but was typical of "cowboy" food. All of it was good, but some days it was better than other days. Balanced and well-prepared, I don't think anyone could ask for more.

Two of us stayed at "The School House" - one queen bed, one bath, and one very small room with a twin bed. Two others stayed at "The Antler" - a queen bed, one bath, and bunk beds. One friend stayed at "The Trapper's Cabin" - a queen bed and one bath. We were all close enough to walk only a short distance to visit each other. Yes, the cabins are rustic but in a nice way. It's very peaceful there and the quiet feeds the soul.

The horses are great. But, if you don't like the one that was chosen for you, you can swap without question until you get the "right fit." There are a gazillion trails to take, and your wrangler is familiar with them all. The "cowboy brunch" was delightful!

Just want to sit back and soak up the scenery? Grab a hammock and relax. Want to hike up to the Indian Caves? That can be arranged too. Want to take a day trip into Yellowstone? Yep, that's on the agenda. It's all up to you to do what you want to do, when you want to do it. Can't get better than that!

Room Tip: The "School House," with its small twin room would be great for a family with one child...

I just returned from an adult only week at 7D Ranch. I went with two girlfriends of mine. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the food was exceptional and they treated us as part of the family. The wranglers were experienced and also knew a lot of information about the area. If you are looking for a step back in time and would prefer rustic to commercial than this ranch would be a good fit.

We're just back from a wonderful week at 7D. Nearly 30 years after my first visit, this ranch is as good as ever. Set in magical scenery, with simple but charming cabin accommodation, super-attentive, fun staff, good food, great horses, and as much or as little to do as you like, this is a really special place for the whole family to enjoy.

Our family just returned from a great week on the 7D! Our girls (age 6.5 and 10) absolutely loved it! My wife and I appreciated the fact that we could "play"(fishing, riding and hiking) while our kids were entertained by the kid's wranglers and staff. Food was awesome, service was A+++ and memories will be unforgettable. This is the place to go for a true western experience!

We just completed a week's stay at the 7D Ranch, our fourth year in a row. We've been fortunate enough to experience cool adventures in some incredible places in the world -- and visiting the 7D is always at the top of the list. We go as a large group (10) of 3 generations and every single one of us has the time of our life, though we all choose to shape our stay according to our own interests. The staff is attentive and knowledgable and terrific company, the food is incredible, and the accommodations are comfortable and cozy. It's an ideal destination for an active, outdoorsy family. We've already rebooked for the next two years out!

This was our first time at a guest ranch and it far exceeded expectations. The views were amazing, the staff was amazing, the food was amazing (that was a surprise), and the planned evening activities were great fun for the family. Our daughter will never forget this trip. She loved being able to ride the same horse every day, twice a day. The kids program was.....amazing. The wranglers that worked with the children were outstanding and the kids had a blast. The staff was very accommodating and worked with each family to plan the days activities. We will definitely be returning!
