“Very good & economical”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014 via mobile

We needed a place to stay for one night in Cody & found this one via TripAdvisor. We got the last room available, 2nd floor, $99. It was the best price in town that I could find. It was fairly spacious & met our needs for 4 wonderfully! The lady at the desk was very friendly & helpful. I would stay here again if ever in Cody! We got biscuits from McD instead of the continental breakfast at the hotel. It was pretty meager, but there are some good looking breakfast joint in Cody anyway.

My husband and I stayed one night at Green Gables Inn while we were in Cody.
It is on the outskirts of town, but only a short drive away from restaurants.

Green Gables Inn is a 2 storey motel kind of hotel, with big clean rooms at reasonable prices..
The girls at the reception were very friendly and helpfull.

We had a room 207 on the top floor, away from the street., with 2 big double beds.
The bed we slept in was very comfortable, and there was smal table with 2 chairs, a refrigerator and a flatscreen tv in the room.
Downstairs there is also an icecube machine near the reception.

The sink is in the bedroom, separate from the shower and toilet in the bathroom.
The shower was very good, with enough waterpressure.

Although we could hear the television from the people in the next room, they fortunatly turned it off at a reasonable hour, and we slept well.

The breakfast didn't amount to much.
You have to get it in a tiny corner in the reception, and bring it to your room, as there is only 1 small table and chair to sit in the breakfast area to eat it. The choice is also limited to juice, coffee or tea, oatmeal, muffins and apples.

So to conclude : a basic but good and moderatly priced option to stay at when you're in Cody.

This motel is not in the main drag and while not far away in terms of distance, it is not a great road for walking so you tend to drive if you want to go downtown in Cody.
The motel itself is nice - standard rooms, clean, has a nice feel to it. There is a fridge in the room and free, reliable wifi (with no password required). TV in room.
The continental breakfast is limited (sweet muffins, quick oats, coffee, juice, apples) - and there is really nowhere to sit & eat it. There is a sub sandwich place next door which is a better option.

Had never been to Cody before despite going to Yellowstone several times a year and found Green Gables to be one of the more moderately priced hotels. I thought the hotel was good, the room was VERY clean, the beds were comfortable, having a fridge was very handy, no complaints from us. It wasn't very close to the downtown area, but it was a short drive, and for the money you save it's worth it.

We had a room on the 2nd floor so the room had some nice high ceilings making the room look bigger. Would have prefered a king bed instead of the 2 small queens or maybe they were only double beds. Everything clean and working order. Our room was back from the main street so no noise. Breakfast was very weak but I knew that from other reviews. There is a Subway a block or so south which makes very good fresh breakfast sandwiches to supplement what came with the room. By the way, property is owned by the Cody's so it was nice to stay with Buffalo Bill's relatives, ha, ha. Have to stay with them when in Cody!

Room Tip: Get a 2nd floor room (if you don't mind carrying your bags up) away from the highway.

Upon check In my husband was given a waiver to sign promising that he did not have a dog and would not have a dog on the premises. Then we were assigned to room 102 which on our confirmation is listed as a pet friendly room which I did not want. So either u accept pets r u don't! Next a much needed fix is new toilet seats in the room. These 2 suggestions should make everyone's stay better.

Great furnishings- extremely clean - staff friendly and helpful with dining suggestions and general info about town. Breakfast was on the light side but small variety was offered. Location was great. Deer were frequently in your front yard!
