“Beautiful drive, lots of photographic opportunities”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

Okay, if you want to see some beautiful scenery and have ample opportunities to shoot some cool pictures of Big Horn Rams, Moose, Bison, Deer, Elk, Prairie Dogs, Bears and other critters along with some outstanding geologic formations, this is one place you don't want to miss. Be sure and check out Buffalo Bill Dam, some interesting stories go along with it and the Visitor Center folk are real nice and informative.

“Beautiful scene”
Reviewed March 26, 2014

My drive throughout the state park was beautiful. I could not stop taking pictures. The rams, deers, moose, and bison roamed freely. We were driving to Sleeping Giant Ski lodge and the mountains were awesome.

“windy and loud”
Reviewed February 26, 2014

bad location , lots of highway noise and windy, but the only option if you want to launch a boat on the reservoir. ok for the money I guess, we did not like all the signs of regulations, upon regulations, we would not recommend it, hit the national forest and BLM lands before this or the national Park

“Good location”
Reviewed December 7, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for 4 days in August. We spent time in Cody and we went into the Eastern side of Yellowstone during our time. The bugs were bad at the tent sites that had trees right next to them. But luckily it was a bit breezy to keep them down.
It's mainly an RV place since we learned they didn't have showers. Did hear coyotes in the night and saw some good birds along the stream behind the campsites.

“Gorgeous campground!”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

I hate to write this because I'm afraid it will be crowded the next time we go there and we won't be able to get our favorite site! This campground is located on the north shore of the Buffalo Bill Reservoir and it is absolutely beautiful. The sites are large and convenient, there are several sites right up the hill from the shore, so you walk out of the door of your RV and onto a large patio site with a picnic table, a great fire ring, and a view that's worth ten times the rate! And the rate was on $17 a night for boondocking, $22 a night for power. You MUST reserve the power sites online or by phone though - and they were pretty booked. A quick drive through the tunnels takes you to Cody - so it was very convenient. The camp-hosts were very friendly and helpful. We stayed ten days and loved every minute of it.
