We enjoyed our evening at Cody Cattle Company. The crowd was small but the band, Everywhere West, performed as if the theatre was full. I'm sure there are many more people there during the rodeo season but since that ended 8/31, the crowd was less and Cody Cattle Company will close sometime later in September as well. The chuckwagon style food was served buffet style and was good, not great, but good. We find most buffets aren't kept 'hot' and that was true here as well, but still good and plenty of it. The music was fun and the musicians very talented. All in all a fun evening!

If you like chuckwagon style western food, this restaurant gets it right. Portions are plentiful as it is a buffet and the Western band "Everywhere West" that provided a show following the meal was excellent. Really enjoyed the night.

My teenagers really enjoyed the music - the musicianship is really very good (my boys were impressed), and the band (Everywhere West) created a good atmosphere and good cheer.

I made a couple of mistakes that I would advise against . We arrived not long before the band started. Since the lights go right down when the band begins to play, this made eating rather difficult, though we did still enjoy our very tasty steaks!

So arrive in plenty of time, to make best use of the meal provided!

I also didn't realise that the evening is tailored so that people can eat, listen to the band AND THEN walk down to the Nite Rodeo, to arrive in good time for it to start. You can buy a joint ticket for all at the Cody Cattle Company, and if you are staying at the Cody Cowboy Village next door, you can get a voucher for a further small discount.

What the 8.30 dinner/show is like, I can't say. But the Cody Cattle Company premises are really quite large, and I suspect that since most people go and do the joint dinner-band-rodeo thing, the 8.30 dinner/show might be rather empty, and so very much less atmospheric.

Virtually next door to the Cody Rodeo park, this place does an excellent pre-Rodeo 'chuckwagon' dinner and cowboy music evening timed to give you an authentic experience of a cowboy night out prior to heading over to the (also excellent) Cody Nite Rodeo.

We went along with two young kids (6 and 8) and all enjoyed the buffet cowboy dinner (all you can eat beans, baked potatoes, chicken and stewed beef) with a couple of beers for me, and then clapped along to the genuinely excellent cowboy guitar band ' Ryan Martin and Everywhere West' playing Johnny Cash and much more and good enough that we bought the CD afterwards.

If you're in Cody and doing the Rodeo, go here first.

A good experience. The meal was good but not great. The entertainment is top class but you will have to appreciate country cowboy music. Skip the rodeo afterwards.
