“KOA knows how to do Campgrounds”

The staff were incredibly friendly, the sites were clean, spacious enough that we weren't on top of other campers, and the tent sites are plenty big enough. The price was great, but we knew when we booked with them that we were paying for the showers, water, and access to the pool and other amenities. You definitely get what you pay for with KOA, and there's so much included in the site cost that it'd be hard to argue with the value.

Room Tip: You can always book online if you're travelling during the busy season, but had no trouble findi...

We were suppose to stay at the Ponderosa, but thought the sites were WAY too small and no campfires allowed. We then moved to the KOA. The kids loved the pool, jumping pillows and 'game room'. The staff was friendly. We did upgrade to a 'premium site' with a cement pad. Worth it, otherwise the sites are on top of each other. It was our 'home' base while traveling to Yellowstone. Our biggest complaints where the bathrooms of course. They could have done walkthroughs more often and they never mowed!

Stayed one night here in our tent, not much shade if that's what you are looking for. Sites are extremely small and you will have tents right next to yours so don't expect any privacy at all. Cheaper than the area hotels and motels which we checked out and wanted $130 and up and that's off season.

I feel $30 for the KOA is a bit pricey for a campground, low $20's is more the going price ofr those of us roughing it with a tent.

The pool looked nice but we didn't use it. Fair distance to town so you definitely aren't going to be walking anywhere. But the showers were spacious and hot so that's a big plus.

All in all you could do worse, if this place was a few $$ cheaper it would rank higher.

The camping cabin needed a good cleaning, and the 2 inch gap on the door made it hard to keep the cabin warm. The indoor family area also needs a thorough cleaning; they're setting up a large room for TV, internet, video games. Staff are great and the pancake breakfast was wonderful. Cabins are close together and could use some shade trees.

Staff was very friendly and professional. Their fudge is delicious! The pool was spacious, hot tub nice. Our park model lodging was great. We also went to a restaurant with excellent Walleye, and the Buffalo Bill museum was excellent. We went to a night rodeo and that was a nice experience also. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We always get a cabin or similar lodging with a bathroom in it, and choose one away from the pool or...

We had reserved a 2 room kabin at this KOA. When we arrived a bit that evening, the woman at the desk gave us a free upgrade to a lodge (much more deluxe!) which was greatly appreciated. With a very nice set of pools, free pancakes for breakfast, and terrific staff through and through, I highly recommend this KOA as a great place to stay. It's just over an hour from the East Entrance of Yellowstone Park too!

We stayed one night here and had a blast. I will say that its a shame they dont offer tent sites with electric because that makes our teenagers a lot happier. We still built a fire and sat out counting stars till the wee hours. The place is flat and the land is scrubby...welcome to Cody, Wyoming. Getting to the site was very scenic and the local Wal-Mart in town is a great place to stock up.

Showers and restrooms were nice and clean. The rock music piped inside is a bit loud but it was great music...taking a shower to old Van Halen is never a bad thing on a camping trip! The kids at the front desk were very young but very business like and did a decent job of checking us in.

The pancake breakfast was pretty darn good. No complaints when I can fill up 3 teenage boys on a budget. This KOA has a much slower pace than others and is pretty darn quiet and peaceful. I would go back again.
