This was recommended for breakfast by the manager of Big Bear Motel across the road.

It was packed out and we had to queue, so we were expecting a good breakfast. Perhaps we just chose the wrong thing. The main course included an item called "biscuits and gravy". This is unheard of in UK and included neither biscuits nor gravy, but a sort of mash with little bits of ham and smothered in a white sauce. We've never been served this before in USA and couldn't eat it. We ate the eggs and drank the coffee. There was no offer of a top up, which seems to be the norm in this establishment.

We were disappointed with it all and ate our own breakfast on the subsequent mornings. Perhaps we were unlucky. The locals seem to like it a lot.

You couldn't get a cup of coffee for 25 cents anywhere, and it was good coffee. The food is awesome and very reasonable. The staff is great and fun to be around.

Love the home-cooked meals, the great and friendly staff, and the speed of service. These folks know how to get it to you! Best breakfast in town. Your coffee cup will always be full, although you will have to ask for water.

The only drawback is the "back room" where it gets stuffy, crowded, and hot.

Otherwise, don't miss this place!

We were told by our hotel across the street that this was the best breakfast place in town & we believe it. The food was great & there was a lot of it. The portions are huge. You can get a half order of biscuits & gravy instead of toast with any meal. The coffee was only 25 cents & your cup was refilled before you ran out. Delicious food & excellent service--a great way to start the day. By the way, we were told that we hit the time just right (7:30am) because normally there is a line waiting outside to get in.

Very friendly staff, the food was awesome. No frills, just a great breakfast at good prices. I had the bacon, eggs, toast and hash browns, my wife had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Everything was made to order and very filling.
