A collection of cabins, wagons and frontier paraphanalia that gives a person a real feel of what life was like circa 1800-1900. There was no imitation or reconstruction. Everything on display was as found. Some of the artifacts were a real eye opener. A definite stop for history buffs.

“very nice find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013

This was a great little place. Very informative and nice time looking around at all of the cabins that they had set up from different places. They brought in these cabins from around the area to set up this town and it was done very well. Lots of interesting items to look at and you really got a sense of how they lived then. Definitely worth your time and the small admission price to help keep it up and running.

“Best photo opt of the West.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013

We really loved this place. These were authentic Western buildings relocated to the Cody area to replicate what a true Western town looked like in the late 1800's to early 1900's. The entrance fee was only $7 for seniors and $8 for adults. Best value of the day and excellent photo opts. Don't leave this off your list of places to visit while in Cody. You can spend an hour or two here.

“Not touristy or tacky, well preserved.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013

Series of well preserved cabins, wagons and artifacts that include the Hole in the Wall gang's (either Butch Cassidy's or Sundance kid's) hideout, Jeremiah Johnson's grave. Takes about an hour or two. Took picture of husband playing cards in the corner of a saloon.

“Great history of Cody!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

We were surprised by this attraction. I was not expecting much, but really enjoyed the experience. It alot of walking and can be hard on senior citizens or anyone with a disability, but well worth it. We really enjoyed the honest stories of the Indians that lived in this area. The incorporation of real events and real furniture & clothes was great to see. We learned the history of this area during this walk around Old Trail Town. I would do this again and highly recommend to any one that loves history!!
