This is the place ot stay if you're in Cody. The pool and spa is open 24 hours a day. This was a plus with my son, it gave him a break from all the hiking in Yellowstone!
It turned out to be a plus for the entire family; As we came back from the rodeo that evening and all took a dip. The Cody offers "rodeo stays" where they'll supply you with a room and tickets to the rodeo. The rodeo is within walking distance of the hotel and a lot of fun.
Another attraction is right across the street... "Old Town", a collection of antique buildings... and the old mountain man Jerimiah Johnsons burial place. Good stuff.
The staff was really pleasant, and the breakfasts are complimentary... which is really good. We showed up late for breakfast one morning and the woman taking care of the area was more then gracious dealing with us. They also have complimentary computers available, with internet access of course. The main drag of Cody is a 2 minute drive away. On the strip you'll find plenty of stores and restaurants, and the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum. The Buffalo Bill museum is a must see.

We had friends that stayed at the Cody last year and suggested that we stay here. I booked the room over the internet and even asked for a certain room #. Our room was on the third floor with a balcony overlooking the rodeo (which had closed for the year - June through August). The king bed was delightful, good quality as were the linens and ammenities. The flat screened TV was nice as was the microwave and fridge.

There is a little know fact about the Cody that I don't think many people know, and it wasn't conveyed to us when we checked in either. At 6 pm they have a dessert and coffee in the lobby. If I hadn't read the tripadvisor reviews, I would not have known that.

Cody is a delightful little city - many restaurants and shops as well as the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum (Draper). This museum took us an entire day to walk through and we could have spent more time there. Make sure to take the trolley ride - lots of history revealed.

The Wyoming Rib and Chop House is a great place to eat....obviously - we were there 3 nights and ate there every night. We also had lunch at the Irma and it was good as well. Breakfast at the hotel was good, with fresh fruits and berries each morning in addition to the regular eggs, sausage fare.

We hated to leave the Cody; it was so comfortable. The only problem we had was with housekeeping - they just didn't finish on the 2nd day and we had no towels and the bathroom had not been cleaned. The Front Desk took care of the towels and there was not another problem the next 2 days.

very nice property in cody. the lobby and common areas were well done, and a pleasure to spend time in. Rooms were nice, think upscale holiday inn express, granite counters, spa like accessories. However, walls are as thin as normal HI express, could hear children screaming next door. Left over soda bottle was under chair from previous guest? Good standard chain breakfast area. Was a couple of miles from main street, would probably recommend at under $150, no more.

No complaints with the hotel itself. Room was very nice, comfortable beds, great landscaping outside and each room has a balcony. Sits very near the rodeo, so you can walk there if you choose. Only complaint was a rude front desk person when we checked in (others were very nice) and they doubled billed the credit card. They are supposedly taking care of that. It is a bit pricey for the area, but... does have a lot of frills to warrant the price. Nice continental breakfast.

The shoot out at the Irma hotel is VERY corny, but fun :)

Great room, great location, great town. Loved the Cody, gorgeous view off the balcony, clean, well-appointed room. Could take or leave the free breakfast, and the front desk staff could be a little more helpful, but I would stay there on my next visit to Cody.

We booked 2 basic rooms for an overnight stay, on our way out of Yelloswtone to Mount Rushmore.
This was an extremely good surprise, on the kind of town where you usually find an array of Motel6, Super8 or at best a Best Western. This is a brand new facility, slighty out of town, meaning you have to drive to get some dinner. Although it is a roadside kind of place, it is extremely quiet, and we were not bothered by traffic or the close-by rodeo place.
Check-in attendants tried to talk to customers while answering the phone, and managed a great job.I did not notice any hint of attitude issue, to which some reviewers refer. The Double room was on the top floor, great size with a small balcony. The King room got upgraded to a King Suite with jacuzzi, and a double size balcony. This room was really huge, with a rodeo-ish decor.Saddle light fixtures (not working), rodeo themed carpet, and really onderful Calinornia king bed, meeting the highest standards (same league as Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton). We did not use the kitchen part. Strangely enough, the jacuzzi was located close to the bed, in the room ; must be romantic to some, I suppose. The bathroom was a good size, with a separate toilet and a shower stall -which gets dansgerously slippery with water.
I am always cautious with breakfast included in the room rate. This one was rather a good surprise : hot fare available, fresh fruit salad and fresh berries. Orange juice was basic.
I only wish there were that kind of place in that kinf of towns ...

The is a lovely medium-sized hotel right across the street from the Cody Rodeo and just a short drive to the wonderful Buffalo Bill Historical Center. The lobby is very nice and the front desk staff helpful. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready yet, but the young lady at the front desk did suggest a great place to eat that evening, Wyoming's Rib and Chop House, and made reservations for us. After a day at the Historical Center (great!) we returned to take our room. Because I found a "Manager's Special" online we got a very nice room for a reasonable price ($159). The beds were very plush and comfortabe, excellent flat screen TV, large, lovely bathroom with great H20 Spa products, and everything was very clean. We had a frig, and I think there was a microwave. My only complaint was that we didn't have a very good view (looked out on a roof top), but because we got this rate those who paid more probably got the better view.

The Rodeo that evening was fun. The continential breakfast had quite of bit of variety and the items were of good quality (especially the fresh strawberries). There were laundry facilities, but we did not use them.

Wish we could have stayed in Cody more that two days. Neat town! But skip the "street shoot-out"....it's was pretty corny.
