“The historic value is very nice!”
Reviewed August 12, 2011

This was our first trip to Cody. The cabin were build in the 1900s although you couldn't tell . The cabin was cozy and had enough beds . It 2 bedroom cabin with 3 queen beds it is a traditional cabin ( no kitchenette ) you are in the heart of downtown Cody. There is several open late restaurants. There is 24 hours wal mart there was some minor issue that were resolve in the timely manner and hotel staff are very Friendly. It's worth of money to be that close to YNP and to be in small town that has its own historical value. This town has medical facility! 8/5/2011

For the Cody area the Buffalo Bill Cabin Village is a good bet. It was a little confusing figuring out where to check in. There was a yellow building in front of the Holiday Inn if I'm recalling right and the cabins were behind a Comfort Inn. When we saw all the cabins lined up behind the hotel, they didn't look very appealing. But once inside, we saw very clean facilities which we like any hotel. We stayed in a cabin which had three double beds, one in the entrance room and the other two separated by a bathroom. The only thing missing is a refrigerator and a complimentary breakfast.

We reserved a 4 bed, 2 bedroom cabin at the Buffalo Bill Cody Cabin Village on July 28, 2011. We all had a great night's sleep. We were all so happy about the comfortable accommodations, we pulled up the covers and took down the name of the mattresses, etc. so we can check into purchasing the same for our own homes.

The people at the reception office were very friendly and accommodating.

It was a great value and great place for 3 ladies and an eight-year old to stay.

Stayed here in Cody for one night, but found the cabin very comfortable and cosy. I had a single cabin which was quite compact, but there are larger versions for 2 or more people. Each room has a resident "Billy Buffalo" soft toy on the bed to keep you company! Nice touch. The reception area also has a large, well stocked gift shop which stays open till late. Staff were polite and eager to help. The town of Cody is an easy walk from the cabins, with a large variety of shops and a great museum at the far end of town. The rodeo was in town during my stay, so that was the evening entertainment sorted.

We went to Montana, Wyoming & South Dakota stayed in 4 different hotels and by far this place was the worst. It was the most expensive, it was also the smallest and had the least to offer. There are two other hotels on the same property and one of them we stayed in on the way back through going home wasn't the greatest but was like night and day to the cabin, won't ever stay there again.

I grew up in Cody, and was returning to town for a reunion. Some family members advised me not to stay at the cabins at the Buffalo Bill Village, saying they were shabby and run down. I am so glad I ignored them and booked anyhow, we had a great visit here. Our cabin had two bedrooms with a bathroom between, and had 3 beds, enough for my husband and I and our two kids. The cabin was roomy and charming, and had nice soft beds and duvets, a spacious bathroom, and private parking. It retained its vintage charm, but was not at all run-down feeling. It was one of our favorite stays of our trip, and I would absolutely stay here again. Check-in was a minor hassle, it took a long time and does not seem to be computerized at all. However, the hospitality snacks and sasparilla helped ease the wait. The only thing we did not like about the hotel was at 10 pm at night, the Rodeo Bus would park right behind our cabin and let out is brakes and then idle very loudly for about 20 mins. It kept waking up my kids it was so loud! If it would just park somewhere away from the guest rooms it would be much nicer. Overall I would recommend the Buffalo Bill Village Cabins to anyone who wants a roomy, comfy place to stay.

We had a spacious cabin, two rooms with a large bathroom in between. It's a pity the bathroom space couldn't be better used, as there was only a small shelf over the basin and nowhere else to put washbags, etc.
