thankfully, this place has finally closed. worst Italian food I've ever had. I think Fazolli's does a better job than this place. It was created for the all-you-can-eat crowd and the lack of quality showed.

We went to Avanti's only once, that was enough. The food on the buffet was all like frozen dinners you buy at the store. Not even good frozen dinners. Awful Italian food. Everytime we passed the restaurant I thought "how do they stay in business"? Thankfully they couldn't compete with the good restaurants that came to town.

Too much competition from chains moving into Cheyenne. Avanti's family will be missed in Cheyenne. Everyone in Cheyenne had eaten there sometime in their lives.

This place was as close to authentic italian food as Chef Boyardee would be if you opened a can up, nuked it until it was dead, and then let it sit out on the steam table for a couple hours to turn to mush. It made your dorm or high school food service spaghetti seem like gourmet food.

While I don't wish small businesses to fclose, even the owners of this restaurant admit that they'll make more money tearing the place down and converting the space to retail shops like the ones they own adjacent to this one.
