“Excellent Small Museum- Don't miss it!”

Nelson Museum of the West

This is a wonderful museum. I highly recommend it. It has three floors and will take about 1-1/2 hours or so to see. It is a private collection. Mr. Nelson is a game hunter and he shares many of the wild game he has hunted over the years along with many beautiful western and indian artifacts. The lower floor contains lawmen and outlaw artifacts. I've been to Cheyenne twice and both times went to the museum. Of all the museums I've been to over my travels this one is my favorite. It's small so you're not overwhelmed, but it has wonderful things to see.
