Excellent displays about Wyoming and Western development and history. Historic items upstairs brought back many memories. Special displays throughout the year are very informative. Exceptional atmosphere and building. Easy to locate with available parking.

As a tourist for many years and a past resident of Cheyenne, this is a must stop! Whether a family or individuals, go in and explore this place. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. The exhibits change in a timely manner. Many schools and educators use this place for teaching and observation. It is downtown and plenty of parking.

We had talked about stopping here many times before but never had the chance until Feb, of 2014. We were quite pleased with the variety and the set up I have a hard time walking but there are plenty of benches to sit and still see the exhibits. They range from early Wyoming history, Native American history and present day Native American arts, dinosaurs, Rail Road history and much more. Its well worth your time!

We had just moved back to the area and looking to explore the area. My boys love museums and history. I had been to this while in elementary many years ago and remembered liking it. There is lots of really cool stuff to see and local history. My boys also loved at the end of our tour the Exploring history room with clothes to dress up and things to play with and do. They even want to go back again!

So many of the displays belong at a rummage sale, not a museum. I wanted to get out of there as soon as I got there.
