As Brits we like to visit State Capitol buildings. Very friendly staff who essentially told us we could wander where we liked in the building. Both Senate and House rooms open to us. Worth the visit.

Take time to go to the capital district of Cheyenne. The view up Capitol Avenue from the Statehouse to the old Union Pacific depot is lovely. When we arrived the Capitol was closed, but we enjoyed walking around the building admiring all the beautiful sculptures on the grounds. Very historic and very interesting, just sorry we were unable to go inside.

This capitol building did not impress me as much as many others. There were no guided tours, but there was a pamphlet we could take in order to do a self-guided tour. This is a fairly small building, and not a whole lot to see.

The little store is cool. Local artists and unusual stuff.
Not a fascinating town, but quite a different culture. Guns, right wing views, pick up trucks - right over the line from Colorado, but a world away. Kind of fun to just listen
