The bedrooms were large. furnished like a suite, with a balcony or patio. Very attractive & comfortable as was the elegant lobby etc though a bit over the top for the location & external appearance.
Pity about the food which brings down the overall rating! I refused to pay for my inedible steak & baked potato - the former flavourless & over-cooked, the latter still hard in the middle. The manager was very sniffy about my complaint - definitely NOT 'the customer is always right'! The breakfast was unappetising too.

Room Tip: Ask to face away from the car park at the back.

Stayed at this hotel as I was driving across I-80. The location is very convenient with easy access to and from the freeway. Being from the northern part of the US, I was not familiar with the Little America concept. Overall I would give a rating of 3/5. While the rooms were clean, the were very outdated. The rooms probably haven't been updated since they were built. Also, I was not a big fan of having an unsecured building that anyone could walk in to. I was on the second floor and there were no locks on the entrance doors. The first floor rooms had the doors on the outside, so you could walk right up to your room from the car.
The staff seemed friendly into limited interaction with them, and the reception and check in area was nice with a warm fire burning. If you just need a place to get a few hours of sleep, this place would be fine. However anything longer and you might want to consider other options.

My husband and I spent three nights recently at this resort and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. From our initial reception at the front desk , the restaurant food and staff, bar staff, housekeeping - everything was first class and good value for money.

Room Tip: Block 4, rear side is the furthest away from the railway lines, and we heard nothing.

We began our 2-week trip in Cheyenne after flying into Denver on September 7, 2012. We were pleased with the location of Little America Hotel and Resort. The common areas were very nice with a lovely gift shop and specialty store. The restaurant looked elegant, but we did not eat there as we were ready to move on, having had dinner at Two Doors Down the night before. Our room was 119 in building 2. It was nice to be able to park in front of the room on the lower level. The room itself was nice enough, spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom could have used updating. One suggestion: complimentary coffee in the lobby to already present water would be nice. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

My wife and I stayed here for one night in early September. We were utterly amazed by the main building but the rooms themselves were in need of a little bit of updating. We ate dinner in "Hathaways" restaurant in the evening and our meal was both lovely and very reasonably priced. We spent a half hour or so in the main building looking at the wonderful wall paintings of old western scenes... These were beautiful and well worth a look.
We would stay here again if we happened to pass through Cheyenne again

Stayed for one night early September. Friendly, efficient staff welcomed us on arrival.
The main building is beautiful. Lovely comfy sofas in lobby area and spacious seating in restaurant. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant with attentive staff looking after us. Very pleasant.
The room, although a little dated and needing attention, was spacious, leading into a dressing area with second handbasin, then into the bathroom. The mini fridge was under the worktop in the bathroom.
There is a golf course and outdoor pool, neither of which we used.
The location is quite a way from downtown, with no bus service, and no local amenities close by.
Handy for the main highway if you are driving.

But one has to laugh at the "resort" description.

Clean, spacious rooms.
Nice pool, but no time for a dip.
Beds were awful, mattresses certainly on the low end of the scale.
Internet was "free", but also reminded me of the old adage, you get what you pay for, wireless performance was awful, but considering the price I could not complain I guess, but after trying to use it to get email I just gave up, very slow.
