The Trailhead Lodge on Casper Mountain has changed hands in the last year and we have wanted to come up and see what the food and service were like.
Yesterday we were able to do that. This is a quaint little place with mountain charm. The dining room is cozy and comfortable. The menu shown of good home-style cooking with some twists. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served 5 days a weekin the winter and 7 days in the summer months.
Omelets, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, skillets and more for breakfast. Steaks, Prime rib, burgers, sandwiches, and more for lunch and dinner.
We had Hot Beef, a Philly, a marinated buffalo chicken sandwich and one of the best Ruben sandwiches we have ever had. The portions were large and the taste was great. Nearly all of the food is homemade and it shows in the taste. We were very very happy with the entire experience and will definitely return on our camping trips to Casper Mountain and Date Nights as well.
The prices were good as well. You definitely get your money's worth and more.
The owners both came out to talk to us and welcome us.to their restaurant. They were genuinely interested in talking to us.
This is a great choice when visiting Casper Mountain but well worth the 15 minute trip up the mountain from Casper itself.
