“Great Prime Rib”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2014

This place was recommended to us by 2 locals and well worth the visit for an early dinner. Decent surroundings, lovely beef and the hottest horseradish sauce I ever tasted! Reasonably priced, personable staff, good beer - what more can you ask? Portions were generous and service was good. I recommend you visit.

“Wow, steaks to die for!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2014 via mobile

This steakhouse was recommended by several people to the extent that we chose a hotel nearby so we could walk. We were not disappointed. The prime rib steak was cooked exactly as I asked and tasted wonderful. The staff were good and the bill for 4 with tip came to $100. That included a bottle of wine and two beers. Value!

“The best is town?”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2014

Buffalo isn't exactly brimming with decent dining options. It's small town (less than 4500). Our hotel receptionist told us that the Steakhouse was the best dining option in town. It seems that every other hotel in town was saying the same thing as we arrived to find several other parties waiting up to 30 minutes for a table with new arrivals constantly streaming in the door.

Sadly it seems that being the "best option in town" has made this establishment rather complacent. We found our evening peppered with a series of disappointing faux pas. We waited 20 minutes for a table. During this period at least four tables remained empty . The staff couldn't clearly explain why they weren't seating waiting customers at any of them. We later saw customer seated at several of them.

Two large tables were seated almost ten minutes after us. Rather than get our order into the kitchen ahead of them, the server ignored us and took their order. We then waited almost 20 minutes for our order to be taken. It took another 60 minutes for our order to arrive (and the venue still wasn't full). One meal arrived with cold fries. One steak was incorrectly cooked. Our beer glasses stood empty for more than 15 minutes. In the end we ate what was served and declined another drink as we were hungry and simply wanted to get out of the place. We didn't relish waiting another 30 minutes for food and drink.

We raised our concerns with the staff during our meal. Our server seemed mystified that there was a problem while the front desk attendance was apologetic but offered nothing to compensate us for the litany of errors. If you're heading north on I90 we'd recommend you continue another 30 minutes to Sheridan where the hotel and dining options are far better. If you're heading east, take the extra 45 minutes to drive to Gillette.

“Great steak, great service.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2014

I made the wrong choice initially by deciding to try elk medallions. Boy were they tough ! Without any problem whatsoever my order was changed to a sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection.

The restaurant is very friendly and the staff are efficient and courteous. My experience of their professionalism was first-class.

“supposed to be cowboy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2014

This is a decent place to eat. The food was pretty good
But not the best ever. The waitress we had was hooohummm.
It was hard to find her. The décor is supposed to be cowboy but they need to raise the bar to make that grade. Impressive on the outside and Luke warm on the inside
