Had a drink in the bar (which is fabulous) and decided to book for dinner. Limited choice on menu, but thought we'd chosen wisely. Had scallops wrapped in bacon to start - they were beautifully cooked but the bacon was almost raw! I chose pasta for main which was actually tasty but very rich. We shared a dessert - only three choices offered. Not offered coffee at end on meal. Service was ok, but pretty slow given the number of other diners. The hotel looks beautiful and full of history and character, just eat somewhere else (unless you want steak, apparently!).
