Yes, the Dells are worth seeing on a boat and it makes a very refreshing trip especially on a warm day. But.. you pay for a 2 hour trip of the upper dells. only 1 hour of it is spent on the boat. Within 1/2 hr you get off the boat to take a 5 minute walk through a pretty canyon and then spend 25 minutes at a concession stand and a souvenir shop. then another 15 minutes on a boat and then off again for 30 minutes. 5 minutes is to watch a dog jump from one structure to another and then you get to stand at a concession stand and souvenir shop again. Then back on the boat to go back to the start while they try to pawn off a souvenir book of pictures pleading that this is how the captain and tour guide make their money. I would look at alternative ways to see the Dells
