Spent Sunday - Tuesday with 4 adults two children in a 3 bed 3 bath unit. Very nicely appointed and a full kitchen with fridge and stove, all the cooking utensils you needed. The room included admission to the water parks within the main complex and many other activities like 3D golf, house of mirrors, laser tag to mention a few. The staff is young but very friendly and helpful. Bring your own food as groceries in town are high priced and food on the resort is on the high side. $3.95 for half gallon of milk and $6 for a pint of Coors Lite on site. Be ready to walk as the water parks are spaced out but everything is connected and you do not have to walk outside. A $20 fun pass will get you into several of the attractions that I mentioned and is a good deal if you're going to do each activity. There are kids everywhere so do not go for a quiet weekend. They are excited and do run in the halls and can be loud but its all in good fun. The beds are great and the bathrooms large and modern with nice toiletries. We did not use room service.

I just returned from a "girl's" weekend at the Glacier Canyon. Our 3 BR deluxe condo was wonderful! It was so spacious and well equipped. I especially loved that the dining table was big (8 chairs) for meal time. We dined in our condo, so I cannot comment on restaurants. The water parks were very fun and we loved having different options. We never took the shuttle as there are walkways inside connecting us to all the parks. Don't forget either comfy flip flops or water shoes as the walk can be a bit farther depending on your unit #. It still was not too far though. I would definitely return with my family sometime. My only two complaints would be that the check out is 10 a.m. and housekeeping was actually outside our door waiting at 9:50 a.m. Also, the hot tubs at the parks are small, overcrowded and inside/outside design so they tend to be cooler.

The good: A one room condo for a very reasonable price. It offers a full kitchen, washer and dryer, jacuzzi, beautifully tiled shower and deck off the spacious living room. We booked it thru vrbo.com

There was no wifi during our 4 day stay. We were told it was being worked on, but 4 days of not working left us wondering. The halls are busy and walls are thin. We didn't hear anything from the rooms, but could hear everything and everyone in the halls.

It offers the Wilderness Waterpark and plenty to do for all ages. We would go again, but in off season.

Back when it was just my husband and me, we usually stayed at Wilderness on the Lake each time we visit the Dells. It's wonderful and was perfect for the two of us, but it does involve a lot of shuttle time to visit the main water parks and arcade. With a young family that loves water parks along (including our preschool age grandson) we wanted a hotel that would allow for all the activities WITHOUT having to go outside in the very iffy late October weather. Glacier Canyon Lodge fits the bill perfectly! Connected to indoor waterparks via a covered walkway, we were able to enjoy all the activities without having to go out in 40 degree rainy weather.

We booked a three bedroom deluxe, which turned out to be a two bedroom with adjoining double queen and sofa hotel room. This was perfect for two families traveling together. With the doors to the adjoining room open, it gave everyone access to the kitchen and living room and really was, for all intents and purposes, a three bedroom unti. By closing the doors at night, both families had plenty of privacy. My grandson LOVED the setup of the smaller bedroom in the two bedroom unit - a bunk bed over a queen bed. The kitchen, while small, included a full sized refrigerator and a dishwasher, which allowed us to cut costs a bit by preparing breakfasts and lunches in the unit.

Room Tip: We were on the side of the hotel with the outdoor waterpark, so it was extremely quiet in October...

We stayed at the Glacier Canyon Lodge through our Wyndham Timeshare points program. We stayed in a 2 bedroom Presidential Suite. I have to tell you that there was nothing missed by Wyndham. There was a Bose clock radio in the Master bedroom and a Bose sound bar in the living room. The amenities were awesome. GE Profile appliances in the kitchen with everything you need. The unit was clean as a whistle. The beds were very comfortable. The two bathrooms were outstanding. The staff was great to deal with. If you can you need to pay this resort a visit.

Took advantage of the kids being out of school Thursday and Friday (along with half the population on Minnesota I assume). This is a great place due to the variety of waterparks that you have access too. Be prepared to do some walking though.
Rooms were clean, and pretty quiet. We had to listen to a little one in the adjoining room that wasnt too happy, but being a parent I guess I felt their pain too.
I'd avoid getting a room on the second floor just due to all of the traffic that walks through that level to get from park to park.
Having the full kitchen probably saved us at least $100 a day on food.

Room Tip: stay off the second floor to avoid listening to all of the foot traffic.

We stayed five nights in a 3 BR Presidential unit, and found it to be an excellent experience. The unit was very clean, and appeared to have some new furnishings since the last time we were there. They take good care of this property!

I continued to be baffled by the various statements I read about it being a "long" walk to the waterparks. We were in a 73XX numbered room, and it took us (at most) 5 minutes to get to the waterpark which was closest, and maybe another 3-4 minutes to get to the more far flung waterparks. We have become such a culture of non-walkers that I guess this seems "far" to some? Anyway, it is certainly no more than 1/4 mile.

The waterparks were quite crowded when we arrived on Sunday (expected as weekends are always busy), and again on Thurs/Friday because of a Minnesota school holiday. However, the early days of the week were practically dead. If you don't like crowds, I highly suggest a stay during the week instead of weekends if you possibly can. The waterparks are all well maintained, and staff was friendly and competent (at least to my eye). The non-waterpark activities at Wilderness are also fun...the newly added ropes course being one of the favorites of my children (there is an additional fee for many of the non-waterpark things).

Check in was efficient. It is annoying to have to get your parking pass from the timeshare sales people, but they weren't pushy. Just another minute or two more. I am blunt from the start about having NO interest in time shares, and perhaps that explains why it didn't feel pushy to me.

The bathrooms in the unit are well stocked...although you should plan to bring some of your own bathroom toiletries as the supplied items are not replenished, and are enough to last maybe 2-3 days with average usage. The binder in the room makes clear that they WILL provide additional items of some types (such as coffee filters, toilet tissue, etc), but will NOT provide additional shampoo/conditioner/bath gel.

The kitchen is stocked for basic cooking only....a large pot, two smaller pots, and a couple of smallish fry pans were about it for stove top cooking. It was a challenge, for example, to make spaghetti and sauce for a medium size group as only the large pot was suitable for cooking the sauce and the spaghetti...hard to do at the same time. If you want to do more than basic cooking, you might consider bringing additional pot/pans. The dishwasher is probably one of the least effective I've ever used. I rinsed dishes before putting them in, and they STILL didn't come entirely clean. It is a fairly quiet dishwasher though.

There is, of course, no complimentary housekeeping during your stay. The provided washer/dryer and basic cleaning tools in the unit make it easy to keep everything fresh and neat with minimal effort. For the cost savings, it is totally worth it to do this minor stuff.

Overall, this continues to be a "go to" quick getaway for us. You get a lot of bang for your buck. All told, with renting the unit and some eating out, the 6 day 5 night trip cost us around $900. You can't beat that for value, in my opinion.

We'll be back.
