Glacier Canyon is a great place for families that want to enjoy the water parks at the wilderness or just relax. Some of the units can be a walk to the water parks and mini golf, but there are shuttles that run from time to time. As for the 2 bedroom unit, there is plenty of space. One room had a twin over queen bunk bed and the other was a king with a patio. The living area had a Murphy bed, couch and chairs, and a fireplace. Also included was a kitchenette with breakfast bar, and dining table.
There is plenty of activities to do at the wilderness. The wild west area is the furthest away from Glacier Canyon. The wave pool is a fun time, but wish there was a clock or timer as to when it will start up. Once it starts the waves come fast and may be too much for some toddlers. Our 3 kids under 4 all loved the water and there was plenty to keep them occupied. If you are buying food at the resort the quality is the same as any snack shop, but the prices are high. 2$ for a bag of chips that is 99 cents at a gas station, that is to be expected.
I would go again to Glacier Canyon just be prepared better to wait till 4pm if your room is not ready, that was hard with two toddlers needing a place to nap and no where to go.

We went here with my husband's family for Christmas and had a blast. With 2 teensagers, and 2 kids under 3 there was plenty to do.
The kitchens had everything we needed to make Christmas dinner and relax.
The only complain I have is the long walk to the waterparks.
The rooms we had were nice, clean and spacious. The rock fireplace was relazing and my daughter loved the jaccuzi tub in the master bedroom.

In March we stayed in a 2 Bedroom Condo Unit (Sleeps 8) at the Glacier Canyon Lodge which is part of the Wilderness Resort complex in the Wisconsin Dells.

These condo's are fantastic and feature a nicely equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, Huge dining table, in-room washer and dryer, a beautiful living room with a gas fireplace, a balcony looking out over a watermark area, plus 2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms.

The condo rates are not much more than a standard room at the hotel...especially if traveling with a group. While staying at Glacier Canyon you have full access to all of Wilderness Resort's amenities, which are exclusive to the guests staying at the property, including 3 indoor water parks and several outdoor water parks as well.

This is our third stay in these condos and there will be many more to come. If you have specific questions feel free to drop me a note.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the skyway.

The 2 bedroom condo is perfect for travelling with a family, plenty of room and a full kitchen as well. We arrived early to use the waterpark and our room was ready so we were able to check in before heading off to the waterparks. The waterparks were quite a walk from our room but it was good exercise :-) This place is ALWAYS packed, so it's best to go during the week.

Ok, we will first start out by saying we almost exclusively stay at the Wilderness resort for our trips to the dells, it is by far the best value and offers the most water park space of any of the major indoor themed parks.

That being said, first timers will probably love it, but for us, having been there over a dozen times in the past 10 years, we have somehow out grown it even though it is so big. They need to stop building more rooms, condos and villas and add an indoor area to match the wildwest or klondike parks. They had those two there 10 years ago when it was just the hotel rooms adjacent. Now they have hundreds of condos, villas and hotel rooms at the lake and Glacier canyon that also use the same parks as 10 years ago. Yes they did add the indoor wave pool and a couple 4 person raft slides but that is also getting older now.

The staff is ruder than ever, all foreigners and usually not customer friendly. Hire some people from the state of Wisconsin, our unemployment rate is 7% still....

The place charges $5 for a hotdog that is worse than one I make in the microwave, $8 for a burger that is worse than one I received in grade school cafeteria. The restaurants are over priced and lousy food. They are probably making a killing off of all the people who pay these prices, we just hit Walmart and stay in a condo with a full kitchen. The resort is all about making money, and not about guest satisfaction or experience. I guess in these times with as many people who waste money on weekend vacations in the dells costing $1000 or more their is a niche for this...

Bottom line is we are starting to rethink the dells, probably go outdoor only and stay in an eclectic hotel nearer the outdoor them parks.

Beware taking small children also and watch them. The last 3 times we have been to the Wilderness we have encountered groups of young thugs from Illinois... the parents get a free condo for doing the timeshare presentation and then invite 20 people to stay in a 2 or 3 bedroom... the resort does nothing about this, they have zero security that is effective!

Room Tip: Definitely get a 2 bedroom condo, they are roughly the same price as a standard room but you have a full kitchen...
