We stayed at the Fields Park Motel solely for the purpose of being able to visit the waterparks at the Wilderness. For that purpose, it served its purpose. The Wilderness was asking about $300 for one night; we paid a litltle over $100. We also got the room right next to the office (maybe it's the only one they rent out!). Two queens, a dinky 19" TV with reception problems, a tiny pool--no matter. We weren't there to spend much time in the room except to sleep. We stayed there to get access to the Wilderness and that's what we got. You get the wristbands when you check in--they're good for the day of arrival and the day of departure.
The motel is on a busy road in the Dells, so the noise is high at night--cars, trucks and ambulances are easily heard. Don't expect to sleep well, so it that's a priority, don't stay here. If you're looking for a cheap way to visit the waterparks at the Wilderness (and they're worth the visit), stay here and save some dough--you won't spend much time in the room at the Wilderness anyway, so spend the extra money on an extra day or two here.More
