“Not a bad lunch”

Average pub atmosphere with decent food. I got a salad where the romaine was grilled, which I wouldn't get again, but my girlfriend's sandwich was good and so were the tots.

good food and good service! prices average. they specialize in meats and tater tots, as well as distilled alcohol. we only had lunch but it was comfort food at it's finest!

“Wouldn't recommend”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

I thought the place a cool decor, but that was about it. First problem was that it was unacceptably cold in the restaurant. My wife had goosebumps she was so cold. Second problem was that our server was on the rude side. She was visibly annoyed about questions we had about the menu and making simple substitutions on our order. Lastly, the food was just average. Wasn't bad, but the "Tot Platters" that our there specialty were nothing special, and the sandwiches were okay but not great.

“Fairly Average”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

The Dells isn't exactly packed with quality restaurants and this is just another one of the bunch. They have a small menu focusing on burgers, sandwiches, and tater-tot creations, with a lot of the same ingredients being used across the board (for example, the "fire-braised pork" comes on the nachos, some of the tots, three of the sandwiches, and one of the burgers).
Wife and I split an order of nachos, which had great potential, but were so soggy as to be more reminiscent of chilaquiles than nachos and, oddly, they are served in a cake pan. Daughter had mac & cheese, which turned out to be just Kraft.
Our server was attentive, to the point of being annoying, and didn't seem to leave us alone for more than a few minutes at a time. And her lack of knowledge of the menu and the beers was a bit off-putting. When I asked what their beer special was (as their website indicates "Every day we offer a different craft beer on special for $3.50"), I was told it was Long Island Iced Tea.
My other complaint is that Dells Distillery claims to distill their own liquor, with their website claiming "we offer our very own distilled vodka, whiskey, brandy, and rum." However, at the time of this review, Dells Distillery has not distilled anything, though I was told they are "working on it," which is fine, but they shouldn't claim to be doing something they are not. Furthermore, the Distillery projects itself as being a bit of a craft beer bar as well, but their craft beer offerings are quite limited and they ignorantly serve their beer in frozen pint glasses.
In the end, the food was edible, the beer was drinkable, and our waitress was tolerable. Considering this is the Dells, it could have been worse.

“Good lunch/good service”
Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

Stopped in for lunch. Simple, but varied menu. Plenty of choices for families with kids. We had the nachos with pork, an interesting variant. I had a cowboy sandwich, delicious. Beer was cold on a very hot day. It seemed like they were adding or remodeling the upstairs to handle even more. Well worth a visit while in the Dells.
