The new bar was a nice addition. Plenty of attendants in the pool area. We were happily surprised to find that it wasn't steamy hot in the indoor pool area.

lots of water activties such as water slides and the lazy river I enjoyed relaxing in the hot tubs which there were two of them . if you don't mind a short walk there is a wave pool across the street which is was included with our park pass.

Kalahari is expensive, but it has so much to offer under one roof. The water park is huge compared to the average and has lots of different activities for everyone. Rooms are still nice and the African theme is really expressive throughout. With connections to the movie theater, restaurants, Indoor Theme park, sweet shop, bars, etc. You literally don't have to leave the property for days.

We went from Weds to Fri a week before everything really started opening up for Spring Break. The park had a relatively light crowd all three days, which meant no lines and a quick turn around on the slides for the older kids. Unfortunately Tiko's Watering Hole was closed for maintenance so we could not experience that area, I also found the water temperature for the Leopard' Liar area little cold for our toddler. He did too b/c he didn't last long playing in the water there. The kids tended to gravitate towards the Crocodile Cove pool which other than the hot tubs was the warmest of all the pools. We did two full days in the water park which was enough for our kids. Make sure to rinse off several times during the day, b/c they do use alot of chlorine (two of our kids broke out with a rash on the second day)

We staying in a Horizon Family Suite which was nice, but very dark. Our room was on the 4th floor and openned up to the main lobby. Overall the room was perfect for us, but at about 6 am the the music from the lobby got really loud for about a half hour which was little too early of a wake up call for us adults (fortunately this did not wake the kids up in the other room.)

This place is expensive so come prepared. We have a toddler and had we thought about it we would have brought our own pack and play. Most hotels will loan you one for free, but they charge $15 a night here for one. We just made bed of extra blankets instead. We also brought a long a crock pot and made dinners on two nights and brought all our own breakfast and lunch treats. Saved us from leaving the property and some money to spend on other attractions.

The Kalahari is an expensive place... just expensive. It is a fun experience for children. I enjoyed going there.
